If Running Dogg is the only one believing and asserting that this thread will make History, with your wording you will not get a reply.AM: 2K walk to school, pushing the bike. Then Bike from school to work. It has stopped raining.

PM: Bike commute back home
-380 days to The MOARG, The Mother Of All Running Gatherings, in Gimmelwald, Switzerland, in 2011.
AM: walk to school and back, 4K
...long day...stopped raining, son timidly appearing every so often...
- bike commute to Paolo Rosi track
- helped out at a school meet for a couple of hours
- bike commute to Alfredo Berra trackù
- 1 hour walking plus drills with adult group
- by myself, 40+ mins of striders and intense quadrupedia on the MUDDY soccer field, went something like 10x(run diagonal, quadruped on the short side), 10x100m run down the field with a short recovery in between, then 200m (back and forth no rest till watch showed more than 40mins)
Warm and way muddy enough to go barefoot which felt great. Shower even better.
- bike commute from Alfredo Berra track to school to pick up daughter
- bike commute home together.

No need to post twice, Skuj. I got the message. Ha, ha. Like I said, even someone like you should be able to figure out the history that is unfolding here at DYRT. No need for me to step into your trap. Ha, ha.
Thanks for your "contribution." Ha, ha.
Keep up the good work, all.
dear running dog;
you are a great guy, thanks for this thread. that skuj is sure a troll.
please, why is this thread making history.
yours,
notskuj.
AM: rest.

Hey! 3 for 3!! Ha, ha.
This DYRT march towards history is making me nostalgic. I am only sorry that I have not been able to contribute reports of my own recent running as there has been none. I am, however, close to the point where I will be giving it a try. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Ha, ha.
Meanwhile I congratulate the many diehard DYRT contributors as we sit on the precipice of history. I suppose we even have to thank "the troll" for his contributions. Ha, ha.
Keep up the good work, all!

RD: the MANY diehard contributors.....? MANY????
LOL
The precipice of History? The precipice??
LOL
Dude, this reminds me of the Blues Brothers geometric population progression... "Me, You, Everybody... (needs somebody)...Everybody... (needs somebody)..."
LOL
Anyway: today, kids athletics at Paolo Rosi track.
Rain on and off, still had fun. Especially with two new little guys who didn't want to leave their mom and dad and join their peers.
So they accepted to run with this 60m rolled up ribbon (held at one end by their father) unravelling (as if they had caught a blue marlin!) on a relay baton as they went further away.
Everytime they looked back their father was still connected and they got over that initial shyness barrier which can make joining-in so excrutiatingly unappealing...
...a track-and-field umbelical chord adapatation of sorts i suppose...when they eventually let go and ran free (about 15 minutes) their parents were elated.
Ha, ha. Well I guess if we take out all of the Skuj aliases, we are down to the few and the proud. Ha, ha. Is it not still history with them?
RD,
seems to me History is the sort of thing that ought to be written after the future has taken place...
Hope your running restarts pleasurably.
today: 1h31 in Villa Pamphili, Boston is not that much in the far and distant future...
Ah, but is it not true that the future never takes place? Ha, ha. Just funnin'. I get your point, tpcb.
Tried to go around the block today. It's a big block. Ha, ha. Was able to run, jog, and walk the whole thing. Hoping to get up to being able to run the whole thing without discomfort in the coming weeks.
Keep up the good work, all!
knowing these calf issues of mine typically take several weeks to completely heal, I still got the itch yesterday and decided to give it a go.....completed about 2K before she went south on me......pretty sore today......looks like I'll be riding the elliptical for a couple (at least) more weeks....sigh....
out of town:
managed a quick 40 mins today under the rain,
Yesterday: rest
SO2, interesting choice of language. In which geographical area and comunity is "going south" used to indicate things going bad, worsening, not working, injury ect ect? Forgive my ignorance and could you use another example?
Hope you heel well. Don't know if the elliptical will do it effectively or lastingly.
AM walk to school and back, 4K
-373 days to The MOARG, The Mother Of All Running Gatherings, in Gimmelwald, Switzerland, in 2011.
Gettin close to the One Year To Go mark.
PS. I was just trolled on clicking on the nth Haile stride on video analysis thread. I couldn't believe there could be anymore, yet i clicked and there was some Pagliaro guy music video.
It's like good comedy: it makes you laugh over and over again...
hope you did not take offense, tpcb.....certainly none intended.....it's a fairly common expression.....always thought it was a reference to the compass point of South pointing down.....found another explanation online (see below).....still no running to report.....though today the calf is quiet for the first time in since Saturday.....we'll see how it feels at the end of the day......maybe elliptical tomorrow?.....
There seem to be two theories about the “south” in “gone south.” It may simply be a reference to the map-making convention that “south” on a map equals “down,” so to “go south” would be to head for the metaphorical bottom. A more intriguing theory is that the “south” originally referred to Mexico, to which one might well run in the early 20th century if one wanted, or needed, to elude legal pursuit and “disappear.”
Moi? Offended?
No worries, O2. Although i checked some language usage on and off line and "going south" conjured other, more pornographic, images. Still, I would not have been offended.
If that's the way you talk, that's the way you write.
Are you sure the elliptical works?
PM: very quick warm up, then a 15 X hill-circuit repaets workout with PaoloP. About 32-34secs uphill then about a 1:45 recocver on flat-ish and then downhill ground.
The first 8 laps I kept up; then to finish the workout together, I rested for the same length of time but just ran a shorter distace (so i recovered faster)
The key to training is in the Rest. It was so obvious today.
AM: 4k walk to school and back.Lunch, university adult group, light jog for 1 bour, some sprints
