This thread was originally titled, "Incredible development in the $612,000 Transcon Goodge run, currently ongoing" but the new title is more descriptive. The description of the run is here.
Last time I checked, Rob Pope said he was done with you, then you cried like a little b trying to get him to come back and have had a bigger hard on for him than your other boyfriend, PJ. I guess he probably has a life and doesn't want to argue with a guy who still lives in his mom's basement.
Seeing as Rob Pope posted endless comments in PJ's social media posts demanding the Garmin files now released, I would say Rob Pope has tons of free time on his hands.
Must be a real deep burn that he doesn't think you're deserving of it. Unrequited love. So sad.
I have the latest on WG's fundraising which is that we've traced 51k of the 100k handed over to Macmillan, but can't find the other 49. Can anyone help? Particularly Sneakers. I have asked American Cancer and they couldn't immediately get a handle on him, but are going to do a deep dive.
I've written the below to Will, Robbie, Reece, James and Rich Roll, but no reply, as perhaps might be imagined, but I don't understand the secrecy myself. Surely they should be really proud of the charitable handovers:
Hi all, with Will cc'd on Insta,
Macmillan have confirmed your Transcon fundraising at £51,859.75. Many congrats.
Could someone kindly let me have the figure and link/publicity/confirm/receipt for ACS?
I'm sure it's around somewhere and I just maybe missed it. Obviously good for everyone in the community to know what the Transcon raised and that it made it to its two destinations.
Rich cc'd because a lengthy segment about this in the podcast.
Cheers. Yes a few people have written to me about that and I gave it a listen. "Fighting the good fight." The tables have clearly turned on Brockmann. I only get compliments now for the way I've challenged him, after the flurry of mindless goons ripping into me about anything NOT to do with the matter at hand.
Without being properly scrutinised our sport could really turn into a fiasco, as one person has written.
Have had a pleasant parlay with IR. They may do a bit more on all this.

I wouldn’t say the tables have turned. The running community already know the deal with stunt runners/influencers like Brockman et al…it’s preaching to the converted. You need to reach the general public and mainstream media and they don’t seem overly interested.
Brockmann is a joke. He hasn't achieved a thing except attract a big bunch of moronic cult followers. A good runner would spend years preparing properly, and earn the right to go after records. He won't even get close, he's far too slow and nowhere near fit or strong enough. I want a camera on this attention seeking stunt at all times, neutral lap counters, and a financial audit.

Like trying to steer the Titanic for sure. But we'll get there. Some of the stuff they do is terribly dark.
The media are interested, but yes, also lazy, gutless and terrified of libel. But the huge streaming giants are getting together to look at cheating in endurance sport, and there's cheating everywhere in the world of influencers. Rampant with it, starting with Fred Lorz in 1904 to Ruiz, Rivett, Young, Liver King and dozens of others examples big and small.
The Kate Carter story in the UK was massive, but admittedly fizzled quickly. But huge unanswered questions there like why she repinned and obscured her race number and "didn't notice" cutting courses by 2 miles or the time differentials of that, and she has flat out admitted faking Strava for her ego.
Happy to report that the crew chief Balenger has sent me receipts to get them pretty much there. It didn't need to turn into a flap like this, and American Cancer being very dopey, and still bizarre discrepancies over what the the charity and crew claim, but there's enough now to not worry about a few missing thousands.
I have told Balenger who has spoken to me for the first time in well over a year that communication from crew chiefs is a good thing and that diplomacy helps in life. Simple press releases confirming what Macmillan and American cancer received would have been so helpful. Now if he releases the Whoop data from the Transcon we really are making progress. All we have is the May 22 data which shows 4 hours of running missing.
If Goodge and Balenger refuse to release the Whoop they willingly cloud his name forever.

I wouldn't have given you the time of day. Once again you are proven wrong and I'm proven right. You falsely accused Balenger and Goodge in public of pocketing charity funds when you had zero evidence and your demonstrated lack of any ability to download or analyze anything dealing with numbers. Why do you think I ended being right about everything in this thread including your delusions of the charity money?

He wasn’t accused of anything. People were simply curious about where the money had gone. When it takes more than 6 months to disclose that information it’s understandable that questions are asked.

You will have to do a better job of being Cockerell's shill. Will Cockerell literally accused Goodge of pocketing the charity money in the laughable "Press Release" Cockerell tried to slander Goodger with:
"There are grave concerns that Goodge has kept the remaining £40,000 funds for himself. He has partied all over the world in the last year staying in the best hotels and dining at the finest restaurants."
Influencer William Goodge attracted my attention for the deeply suspicious manner in which he ran across America last year, so much so that I even ventured to Oklahoma to confront him. In brief, whenever he does his big mult...
