She's listed on the updated HU 2023 roster, so I imagine she's enrolled at the school. Can NAIA athletes really sit out the entire season and still be eligible to compete at the NAIA championship?

There are a number of girls on track to surpass Wiley's HS mark. I don't think they see her mark as unbreakable or demoralizing. Did she ruin the sport for them? Are they necessarily dirty? Please explain it to me.

But it sure seems like the race directors, agents, and shoe companies do like her! Race videos prove it. As well as the real running community and cancer survivors across the country. 1. Wiley is NOT attending classes in person. She is in Europe. How are you not aware of that? Didn't you see her run 1:57 in the 800 the other day in Europe?

2. Wiley used to wear her Huntington University uniform up to and including the Olympic Trials, but she has made the decision to NOT wear a Huntington University uniform anymore when she races. She now wears generic Nike or NB clothes when she races

3. Right before classes started at Huntington University on Monday August 28, Wiley made the decision to remove Huntington University from her Instagram bio.

So to answer the original person's questions, despite that fact that Huntington University has been slow in removing Wiley from their fall 2023 cross country rooster on their website, Wiley is NOT taking classes at Huntington and she will NOT be running cross country this fall. She is in Europe trying to run fast times to attract a sponsor so she can go pro.

Based on what we've seen from this "University" -- they pretty much allow Addy and the XC/T&F teams to do whatever they want. This is the same school that hired the wife of the fired coach, do you think they really care if their star athlete misses a few weeks of class?

OK, here is the explanation. You clearly don't know much about high school track. There isn't one girl in high school right now that is anywhere close to running faster than Wiley's 4:26.16 for 1600.

It's definitely a weird university. But there is a reason that Wiley decided to remove Huntington University from her Instagram bio right before the start of the fall semester, and it's not because she is running cross country for that school.

Correct, in the race video she wears a generic stuff (Nike top and New Balance bottoms). Wishful thinking, I guess. Those companies are steering well clear of this farcical situation. Radioactive.

What, in your opinion, is the maximum improvement a motivated HSer could make from their Soph to Senior years? 2 seconds? 20 seconds?

Someone will sponsor Wiley. Remember that Colin Kaepernick was seen as radioactive by many and was still sponsored by Nike.

Nike also sponsored biological men like Caster Semenya to run in women's races, and Nike sponsored Justin Gatlin even after 2 drug suspensions.

So some sponsor will take a chance on Wiley.

And there was nothing in the post about how she allegedly sued her dad. Leaves me feeling like you might know more than you’re letting on? You've got to be kidding me with the Colin Kaepernick comparison.

Which sponsor is going to make her an offer? Name a brand.

It's not a requirement to have an agent in order to get into a Diamond League, but in reality the vast majority of people getting into Diamond League races have an agent.

So there is a good chance she has an agent, but that's not a guarantee.
