Nothing below 9.83 in the men’s 100m was also great to see. W100m was laughable, and we’ll see what happens in the 200’s. 400’s have been great 👍
Lyles/Knighton/Tebogo/Benjamin all are phenomenal 400m prospects, so there’s also a degree of the events potential talent pool opting for the 200, 100 and 400h. Hall went from 400h to bronze just there.
Was expecting more than 51.7.. hard to take Bol seriously when we know there's someone significantly better than her out there. Too bad SML is a wimp and couldn't race to show her who's boss.
I wonder if she saw sub-optimal indicators in training and felt she needed to race herself into medal-contending shape.
Sorry, makes no sense. She’s run tons of races this season; she wouldn’t gain any fitness by running two races over the course of a few days; her time in the first round would have dominated the final.
The idea was that she was chasing sharpness, not general fitness. Nonetheless, I might be off the mark.

Idk why people were expecting a WR or even a sub 51 on this track, everything's been slow probably due to the heat

Bol ran a really conservative race. Hope she chases faster with the pressure off now.

It’s not about who is the fastest, it’s about who is the fastest who can test cleanly.
Bol is that person. SML will neither put up a time, nor be tested. SML is not that person.
