A point system is not a conversion. Do you really not understand this? The mile is run infrequently as compared to the 1500 so there are very few data points. The conversion puts her at 4:04. Imagine had she run 4:01 1500 and her mile PR was 4:30 and I told you that her 1500 converted only to a 4:24? You would have lost your mind. That's 23 seconds for 109 meters.
You bring up a good point, which may, after further investigation, explain why the WA point system conversion is an inferior method when compared to determine equivalency based on fractionalization of aerobic power, using the Jack Daniels Calculator.
Per Jack Daniels, a 4:24 mile equates to a 4:02 1500m.
WRs in track are invariably PED based, unless you think someone could run 3:49 naturally while running significantly faster than all of Ma's army, the Soviets and Shelby Houlihan on rocket fuel. As we have seen in swimming with the East Germans and Chinese swim teams, PEDs such as steroids have a greater relative effect on women as opposed to men. So generally there will be less of a gap between clean times on the men's side than the womens relative to WRs.
I don't mind arguing with sockpuppets, but just not dumb ones.

Agree. They honestly seem obsessed with defending Wiley, like they are trying to win her attention in some way. Problem is, unless they are coaches, and preferably a little older, say mid 30ish, and even more favorably have a little mini pharmacy in their basement, she’ll never even acknowledge their efforts. So sad!

I think some of what is part of the conversion is the mile is contested indoors and the 1500 outdoors? Indoors has got to be slower with all the extra turns in distance races.
Its one person. Maybe our long lost Dudek fan who finds someone else to try to diminish Katelyn with every year. Just in this case with the HU scandal it is almost disturbing.

One Dudek fan? 99% of running fans are fans of the sport and of all runners. It is only a few Tuohy fans who somehow despise every runner except Tuohy. I have never seen this type of obsession regarding a runner..

So your saying then Tuohy is even faster than 4:02 when Outdoors?
One might suggest Indoor times can be faster than Outdoor times, due to bouncy banked tracks and no wind.
Pot meet kettle. You are so intent on attacking KT that you are now plumbing the sordid depths of the HU scandal. The scandal is so bad that if I go through it with any detail on here the post will get deleted. It is a complete freakshow. Anyway, this topic is played out. Later.
They hate when we tell them how much Mu scores in the 800 as compared to Tuohy in the 1500. Then we are told not to compare events.
I love hearing how much Mu scores. She is my favorite track athlete. Hoping she is ok and back racing soon! Now Mu’s trolls, sadly she has many, are savage and unlike the wanna be trolls on the Tuohy threads like this one, can even challenge me at times.
But there is absolutely no reason to compare Tuohy to Mu. They may someday meet in the 1500, but for now they are not remotely alike. Mu is an 800/400 runner and Tuohy starts at 1500 and goes up.

I did not mention her at all, just a comment on why I think the conversion is more than most of us, myself included, thought it would be. I thought it would be around 4:03 mid or so.
What part isn't true? Attacking posters in not allowed on this site. Providing facts helps all of us.
If someone decides to troll, (dish it out) then be prepared for someone to respond back (take it). That’s how things work. There’s another favorite saying of mine, FAFO.
