If you can point to one single red flag with Tuohy, let us know. Ever think maybe that is why she has a fan club in a dope-infested sport? Because in a sport rife with cheating and illusion and lies people know something is actually real? And because she has the progression with the normal ebbs and flows of a naturally talented athlete, it becomes a benchmark to compare against more anomalous progressions, such as the supposed late-bloomerism that is often used to explain sudden pro progressions.
Doesnt USATF test all athletes that compete at US championships!!??
Im here to educated you that Katelyn Tuohy ran at the US Champs while Parker Valby did NOT run despite qualifying, and despite already being in Oregon... so why wouldnt she? I thought thats the dream of every runner ?
I love how we can have 20 pages speculating that Valby is a doper, but a thread asking why Tuohy gets a pass is deleted within 10 minutes. I guess it helps to have a fan club of deranged letsrunners stalking you since high school that will rationalize all of your performances and attack anyone they see as a threat.
The thread that was deleted called Tuohy’s physique into question. Someone questioned her muscularity.
It’s no secret that Katelyn Tuohy cross trains and lifts weights. She has lifted weights since high school. She just looks like a normal athlete that is toned. There is nothing unusual about her physique.
Many probably remember steeplechaser Bridget Franek. Franek also lifted weights and was toned. Tuohy’s build is similar to Franek’s.
Touhy’s progression has been linear and what would be expected. It wasn’t all that long ago that people believed she hadn’t progressed enough and was going to be the next high school prodigy that fizzled. Too many don’t realize that progress takes time.
The reason that Valby attracts so much skepticism is that she has not had the linear progression that Tuohy has had. I’m not judging whether Valby dopes or not but her progression is atypical. Tuohy’s progression is more typical.
Also, it is well known that athletes can’t win with the LRC crowd. They have great performances and they are suspected of doping. Bad performances? They go home devastated! Mediocrity is what is expected here. Good and bad performances are not allowed.

Katelyn Tuohy ran at US Champs that needed drug testing, Valby didn't despite qualifying.
" Athletes competing in the Event are subject to blood and/or urine testing for any substance or method on the World Anti-Doping Agency (“WADA”) Prohibited List.."
Katelyn is one of the healthiest-looking runner in the NCAA, shes also been naturally fast since she was a 12 year old running 4:54 in 1600m in 7th grade on her first track season.
Thats why that desperate thread was deleted, its nonsense. Just trying to divert attention and drag a clean athlete who has been pushing the sport since she was a little girl.

I guess not for Valby ?
Your question was already answered; she wasn’t expected to place, and she had surgery scheduled, in order to accelerate the process of returning for cross-country in the fall.

There have been plenty of NCAA runners over the years who qualified for the USA Championships and didn't run in them, because they had been training really hard the entire school year and they wanted a break before cross country training started.
Your take on progression is skewed from the perspective of being a tuohy fan. Again, as someone explained earlier in this thread, tuohy hit the ‘5-6 year sweet spot’ of development in high school, whereas, Valby is hitting it now.

I bet the majority of people bashing Valby and supporting Tuohy are her family and best friends. I find it hard to believe any random person in Wyoming for example would be so obsessed with Tuohy and so offended when someone poses a threat to her winning chances. All of this worship of Tuohy and insane accusations against everyone else is making most average people root AGAINST Tuohy because her fans (aka her family in this thread) are so toxic.
They may even have their lawyer ring BroJo’s bell anytime they see a disparaging word against toohy, but they don’t think second about throwing shade at her competition.
I write about doping all the time. Someone suddenly runs a crazy rated time, has an anomalous progression, shows certain odd but predictable performance patterns, has other red flags, it is going to be evaluated. Deflect and flak all you want.

Well Katelyn has thousands of fans, but I guess Im part of her family? lol I dont even live in the US, and nope Katelyn's family don't care what LRC posters think, we are nobody's to them. Her parents has never accepted an interview nor shown any interest of the media frenzy for the past 6-8 years, does not even capitalize on their daughter's popularity.
Maybe if you made a Valby thread and dont mention Katelyn, then you wouldn't have attracted her fans.
The only ones who root against Tuohy are the ones who didnt like her before already. People root for someone new because they don't like the one thats winning. That is how sports works.

But as previously discussed in this forum which you continue to ignore, the progression is NOT anamalous. As talented as Valby is, she will eventually be tested. But until then, your vehement and repeated accusations are slander and bullying.
Actually it is. Did I really have to respond to such a laughably circular argument as "its completely normal because athlete A has this massive, generational latent talent that is now finally emerging but only it is emerging later and more dramatically"? Every pro runner who suddenly massive prs in short order gets the same explanation. It is always nonsense.
