ND 5 points behind BYU and 13 points behind NAU. Remarkable! I had my doubts when it was announced that Sparks was taking over both the men's and the women's teams, but clearly it is working. Or, we'll see in 12 minutes.
Tuohy did look like she was out for a jog until 4k btw
Tuohy was doing a tempo run. She’s dominant.
Barring injury or illness, she’s going to be the NCAA champion. Not to jinx it. NC state, however, does not have it in the bag. It’s going to be tight and fun.
Gordon is sadly mistaken! This is not happening with their top lineup not in place. I believe we may see NC State lose this meet like last year. NM with the win in a very close race with NC State. If Starliper and Chmiel don’t run The Wolfpack will get blown out by NM. If Chmiel runs they have a chance.
Even with the lost, NC State will still be the team to beat at Nationals. But a healthy NM and AL and an unhealthy Wolfpack at Nationals has upset all over it! Gotta hope Chmiel and Starliper are healthy by November or the Pack is in trouble!
I am still skeptical about how well Sam Bush will run. I have her in the 10-20 range today, probably somewhere around 15th.
I agree that she has gotten better but today a pressure cooker. For me her consistency has been an issue in the past. I would like to see her change my thinking about that today and finish in the top 10 and preferably the top 5. If Chmiel and/or Starliper are on the fritz Bush will need to step up big time.
That is the inconsistency re Bush that I was referring to. She still had a really good run but I do not peg her as a consitent 1 to 5 or even a top 10 finisher. As has been said, the results of this meet really don't matter in the scheme of things and methinks NC State will be fine.
I'm glad to see Dudek have a good run. Maybe the haters will STFU!
Ewert still has a long way to go to get her conditioning back to where it should be.
