I wish we would starve the profligate politicians. We've had record revenues in one recent year or more yet the Federal representatives still managed to spend more than their income. Perhaps a deal could be worked out to freeze the taxes and cut the spending. I think the Republicans would be more likely to agree to that than the Democrats.
