Honestly if I was in his shoes, I’d likely do the EXACT same and I would wait to get the vaccine AFTER the Olympics.

Bro we WANT him to compete at the Olympics. We are upset that his decision puts his competition status at risk. Even a single shot boost greatly increases neutralizing Abs in previously infected people. It's insane to risk a possible positive test by not getting vaxxed.

In a world where only 26.8% of 7.9 billion people have received one dose of the vaccine and 13.4% are fully vaccinated, whether one completely unknown individual (to the larger sporting community) in a fringe sport is vaccinated is irrelevant.

Dude, the odds of him not feeling well for 1-3 weeks following the jab are much more likely than the scenario you have posed, in addition to the fact that someone can still pull a positive nasal swab following vaccination. Your argument here makes no sense. If Hocker does not want to risk his performance he should not get the vaccine weeks before the big race(s). None of the people in Japan are vaxxed either....adding one more makes zero difference at all.

Where did Rojo fault? In your head does not count as an answer.

The US isn't "sharing" these vaccines. Quit trying to make this country out to be altruistic (especially when we just started bombing yet another country, Somalia, for some unknown reason). Everything we do is in the name of making the rich richer. Period.

I totally agree with ROJO that there is no reason to blame Hocker that he has not been vaccnated.

1. On the basis that Hocker as reported has had the COVID 19 in May this year his immune system should be fully activated to resist a reinfection. According to INDEPENDENT scientists it is extremely rare to be reinfected once you have had the virus.

A studie should have shown that persons who had SARS 1 almost 20 years ago still have antibodies and T-cells to resist

this SARS 2 which is only 80% similar to SARS 1.

Hocker´s immune system should consequently also be able to fight off variants which are normally more than 99% similar to the "original" COVID 19 virus.

2. Since Hocker is VERY unlikely to get the virus now he won´t be a danger to any other person.

3. The same can not be said about the persons who have been fully vaccinated:

According the recent numbers from the UK more than 15,000 VACCINATED persons got the virus WITH SYMPTOMS in only one week!

4. INDEPENDENT scientists further states that the natural immunity - which Hocker now have - possibly gives better cross immunity than the vaccine.

5. There is no medical reason for Hocker to take the vaccine if he has already aquired natural immunity. Hopefully his college will not mandate him to get the jab.
