Poor Phily - I'd would not be surprised if the 2.32 predictions come true.

Purdue out with Calf strain.
At this rate Cole should smash it out the park at 2.15 and improving with Felton and Bester now tracking over 2.20.
Go Cole!

Go Cole!
Cole's having a storming run, could even break 2:15 at this rate.
Has Cole gone too early?! If not, he’s going to absolutely smash it with a huge neg split.
Bester and Felton completely blown up by the looks of it. Bester on for one his worst times in a long time and Felton’s PB gone. He got greedy with the 2:18 but do feel for him. Must feel awful out there for him right now with all that training he’s put in

Wondering how many of these YouTube influencers LRC's very own 41 year old icon sirpoc beats on Sunday.
Sirpoc now on track to beat Bester and Felton on current race trajectories 🙈 incredible scenes!
The wheels have come off completely for Felton - will be devastating
that would be glorious to watch, sirpoc with his comically fast cadence speed walking past Nick Bester as he watches in horror, pity that i can't see it

It’s not glorious to watch people fading like this after putting in as much training and dedication as Felton, Bester etc.. not sure how you can’t have at least some empathy.
Somebody putting in no training and it’s showing I can understand a bit of schaudenfraude.
Anyway - Cole looks like he might finally be hitting a mini wall. Still tracking for a spectacular Mara debut though. Hold on Cole!
Yeah looking for 2.16-17 for Cole now incredible performance if he can hold it.
Ben is blowing (up). Horrible feeling. Eilish finished in 2:24 for a nice debut.

Up to 3rd in the club, masses race with Adam Hickey in sight. The animal that is John Gilbert leading.
Phily 2:30:28
Ben Felton spectacular blow up - 21:20 5k from 35-40k, looking at a 2:35 finish
bester is annoying enough that it's fun to root against him, but you have a point , i should probably not be gloating
Poor guy, must be feeling awful right now.
Marathon running really is a brutal sport, you spend nearly all your time for half a year or more preparing for an event and all the sacrifices involved, then something goes wrong on the day and blows all your hard work out of the water.
Yup! then you end up running slower than a training long run!

Problem is too many people have some arbitrary target time in mind and run to that rather than adjusting to how training has gone, conditions on the day and how they are feeling on the day.
Cole in 2nd place of the masses, only one other and the elites have run faster, can’t get better than that for a sub-elite! What a debut
