About time, now we can say this is a rivalry before is was just a one sided butt whoopin.
"one sided butt whoopin"? Really?
2021 XC Nats - T: 19:43.1, V: 19:50.3 = 7.2
2022 East Reg - T: 15:27.14, V: 15:29.07 = 1.93
2022 NCAA - T: 15:18.39, V: 15:20.1 = 1.71
2023 XC Nats - T: 19:27.7, V: 19:30.9 = 3.2
2023 East Reg - T: 15:31.00, V: 15:33.43 = 2.43
2023 NCAA - T: DNS, V: 15:30.57
5 races, Tuohy won by a TOTAL of only 16.47. The last four races it was only by 9.27 seconds total. Valby crushed her today by 12.3 in one race. That is a butt whoopin. If Tuohy would have dared step on the track at NCAAs after the 1500, Valby would have beaten her by at least 30 seconds and probably closer to 45+, if Tuohy would even have finished the race.
So…. You’re just confirmed that before today, it was one-sided at 5-0?
Old course (to 2017) ~5900m, current course (2018-) ~6040, if those numbers that have floated around some are accurate then that is almost half a minute, and these were pretty slow course conditions. Look at the marks, third was 35 seconds back close to20 minutes, which is slow for third.
UNC women!! Their coach, Dylan Sorenson left and they have imploded. Supposedly Miltenberg took on the women, his men have run great, women not so great.

Last year 3rd was 19:57, 4th and down were over 20 minutes. Strange to me but the women did not slow much from last year and some ran faster.
The men slowed marginally, about 10 seconds. But, last years race on the mens side was also very fast and set the course record.

that was the point I made - certainly for the top 20 W After that they were a little slower. The course was beat up by the last lap of M race.
Except the whole top 20 was faster than last year. It was the first race, so the course was not chewed up yet.
right I would say certainly for Tuhy and Valby mud was no an issue as they should have had no problems avoiding any bad spots. The results also clearly show that the top 20 were as fast or faster than last year, but back of that times lagged last year by a bit.
