Because there is nothing suspicious going on like many of us in this thread have said many times and which the data shows in detail. It's like none of you have ever looked at cadence and speed numbers before. That or Willvlc was magically hooked by the handsomely good looks of Goodge.

Interesting, isn't it? And he was planning to observe 7 days of running, now he seems to be content with 3. I'm curious to see how the next few days play out.
Don't underestimate how incredibly boring it must be to try to observe or officiate one of these things out on backwoods USA. I am just speculating but I would guess that wilvic discovered that driving along or around someone running 11 minute miles for one day is about as much fun as gouging your eye out with a fork.
UPDATE: Will Goodge couldn’t be bothered to do todays miles so Will C offered him a lift for the first 25miles in his car. They stopped both had a Nucalm nap together and then Will C towed Goodge the rest of the mileage. Will C happy with HR data for todays miles.
Has willvlc been compromised? We need the brojos or Gault to send someone out there for additional verification.
Or this could have been the plan from the very beginning! Willvlc could have been an accomplice. Stir some drama for additional publicity, "verify" the run and possibly discourage anyone else from checking.
I don't care about this, but I would just like to say how much I appreciate a thread with the term "Transcon Goodge" in the title. It is great clickbait. The reader has to find out what "Transcon Goodge" means.
All they had to do is add the dash cam to the support vehicle and stream live his runs on Youtube. How hard is that? That would exactly what I do if I was doing this. Attention seekers like this should revel at an opportunity to get more likes.

How are you going to get fast and stable internet connection in the desert? Satellites are good for downloading data, not uploading it.

As explained so many times it's bordering on comical (refer to #175, and my post around #194 iirc), it's not about the cadence, nor is it about the speed. It's about a particular quirk with HR data and the pattern with which said quirk occurs (according to Will C). i.e. he consistently gets up in the afternoon during the 3 events he's done and runs FASTER times than he did that morning, with a 25%+ reduction in HR (regardless of the watch he's using). And this has only ever happened during events without witnesses - it's never occurred during training runs, official marathons, or on the first day of these events. And, most notably, Will C's interventions (i.e. threats) saw the posting of clean / substantially cleaner data.
As I've also stated numerous times: I personally don't put this down to Goodge cheating, but the quirk needs explaining. It's very odd.
Will C's post yesterday is - as pointed out by others above - bizarre, given that Will's posted good data on multiple occasions before when put under pressure. So why would 1 day - or even 3 in a row - make a difference?
so, according to him, when noone watches, the hr data is iffy.
when he says he will watch, the data is ok.
on the day he gets there, the data is ok and hr high as expectedd. so he says its all good?

His interventions from the UK led to a day or two of clean data, why wouldn't he think Will could manage it for 3 or 4? I'm assuming he's thinking Will would quickly fall off if pushed for even that long.
If I were him, at a minimum, I'd be wanting to witness one of the mythical 110 HR sessions, just so he could put that concern to bed, if not solve the mystery as to why those are occurring.
Given how hard he went in on Goodge and his team I don't think a pivot to 'well you didn't present your data well enough' is sufficient - nothing short of a grovelling apology would be.
I was belittling Will C and saying the data doesn't prove he's cheating at all a few days ago.
Now Will Goodge is slowing dramatically and his HR is now accurate with Will C there so now I'm starting to think (on the balance of probabilities) something could be up.

Where do you get that the pace has slowed dramatically when WVC is there? These are the average elapsed paces (min/mile) in the days leading up to and while he is there: 14:09, 13.24, 15.01, 11.53, 13.06
