Even if the standards were slower, you think there would be more non-Kenyan applicants? I don't.
If you look at the standards back in Browne's day on the team the numbers who meet those standards are going to be similar to today. I can remember when we only had one guy under 28:00 in the 10k. The standards have gotten faster because American runners have gotten faster.

- YOU SAY "The standards aren't that high" and "...if the WCAP stadards were slower" you don't think non-Rift Valley Foreign Legionnaires would apply to WCAP:
I SAY it's PHENOMENALLY unlikely for a soldier to graduate from high school or college and hit those marks w/o an exceptional background --- HS National Record Holder, NCAA All-American, etc. Review your homework, USMA school records, CPT Pennington & LtCol Erick Mack posts, etc for justification.

I SAY ... PROVE IT! I already have ... Browne, Found, etc as previously indicated in this lenghthy thread have been apart of WCAP ... today, you have 1 x Racewalker.
Compare the WCAP standards for other sports to track. They aren't looking for decent HS or College guys. You need to be part of the senior national team, or one of the top athletes in the nation. The program is not about development. It's about providing resources for national class athletes.
