Agreed and yet the with no actual evidence these trolls are dedicated to posting out of hate and jealousy. Online letsrun trolls often need help because their behavior can be a sign of deeper emotional problems. While not all trolling stems from serious problems, many trolls are acting out in ways that reflect internal struggles.
Posting out of hate and jealousy? is there honestly anyone who believes Sean’s situation is one to be jealous of?
Yes, he’s definitely one of the best coaches in the US. Obviously, you wouldn’t waste your time if he wasn’t. By the way, no one has mentioned you in the MB’s for the last six years. People lash out or troll because they feel threatened, insecure, or envious of someone else’s success. And trolls just want a reaction. Provoking others gives them a sense of power or amusement. The sad but truth!

I guess it’s hard to argue he’s not one of the best because all of his athletes are undefeated this year.
I won’t get into all the legal fine print but I imagine that the NCAA followed the standard processes they do for all investigations. If not good luck to SB suing them. They are losing a lot of cases.
With the Wild West lack of rules it is shocking a coach would get caught and punished. So many work arounds available. It is soooo easy to cheat if you do it right.
We got kids getting visas from dictatorships and you can’t wait 2 days for a kid to enter the portal that wants to come home?
Use your wife’s phone…. Wasn’t she the high school coach? Boom solved! Facebook the parents, Instagram DM them. Talk to them in public if you are friends. Easy stuff
Having worked with the NCAA from the outside for years, I can say they clearly did not follow their own protocols or procedures here, especially regarding phone imaging. The coach is supposed to review the phone before the NCAA gets access—that's the only legal way. Instead, the NCAA took everything without the legal right, assuming they’d find something. After multiple people went through all the files and found nothing, that’s when the NCAA started freaking out because Brosnan hired top-tier lawyers, which was a smart move. The NCAA had to retract the files, but as others have pointed out, it’s too late. Now they’re acting like it’s no big deal, but it seriously is. What they did was against the law, and after all that, they found absolutely nothing. Again, this was why Brosnan demanded the metadata. He needed to do that to follow the proper steps to a lawsuit in which the NCAA will have to settle because they know the messed up. The other bylaw they are trying to hold Brosnan to regarding the phone calls is also a losing court battle for the NCAA. NCAA Bylaws cant be above federal law and again another reason Brosnan ponied up with a big time lawyer.
The NCAA has got a long history of doubling down on their mistakes and crossing legal boundaries. It seems like they tend to break laws until someone sues them and forces them to comply. Luckily, Brosnan is a SOB and I could him taking legal action, which might shake things up. Also, with the SEC leaving the NCAA in three years, we could really see the NCAA start to fall apart for good.
The NCAA has gotten so much better than even ten years ago which shows how bad it was before. I believe they stripped UNLV of a final four over long distance phone calls from an athletes hotel room.
They have lost every lawsuit the last few years. They have no power!!!
Conner Stallions and Sean B out here getting hit with stuff while football and basketball are anarchy

Big-money schools often get lighter penalties than smaller ones. Example: North Carolina’s academic fraud scandal involved fake classes over 18 years for athletes. The NCAA said it couldn’t act because the classes were open to all students—so no sanctions. Meanwhile, schools like Georgia Tech and UMass got punished harshly for minor infractions (e.g., athletes receiving $300 worth of clothing). Going after lower level coaches to bully penalties and violations. Delays and Stalling Investigations often take years—hurting innocent athletes and coaches more than the actual offenders.

Good point. The NCAA cited Brosnan with a bylaw that was clearly not meant to prevent someone from calling a friend when the conversation isn’t about recruiting. This is one of the most outrageous stretches of the rules I’ve ever witnessed, even by the NCAA’s standards of corruption. Brosnan will have a chance to overturn this through an appeal. What he really needs is a major publication to publish an exposé that dismantles the NCAA’s unfounded claims and the unjust violation they issued.
“Thus, even if Brosnan's communications with the two prospects' fathers did not touch on the possibility of their transfer to UCLA, simply maintaining those relationships provided an advantage that other compliant coaches and institutions did not possess”
This is f@cking gold for a lawsuit. Not a shred of proof of tampering, just them making up some fake conversation on what was said. The NCAA has the burden of proof, and they can’t even handle that. Imagine the NCAA telling someone they can’t be friends with a person they’ve known for years just because some bylaw they are interpreting it says you have to cut off all friendships with anyone who has a kid at a different school where you coach. I’ve seen a lot of crazy NCAA BS, but this takes the cake. The NCAA has to be the dumbest MF’s around. They must want to pay a huge sum of money to Brosnan because that’s what this screams

The NCAA is a joke. They act like they hold all the cards, but in reality, they have zero real power. Especially when the conferences leave on 2028. It’s only a matter of time before the whole thing falls apart and disappears. Honestly, who even respects that phony organization anymore? It’s dead weight and everyone knows it.
Just Sean talking to Sean at this point and mods taking down posts like this.
I knew someone would say that... and I'm not speaking for the other posters who could actually/probably be Sean, but I came to his defense because I'm just tired of seeing all the crap thrown at him on this site. Can't vouch for his character or anything, but I don't think he deserves this much crap. The Kentucky coach got fired last month and I didn't see a peep about him... so why does Sean get so much hate?
He does give off cocky vibes, so running nerds (an endearing term, by intent) often seem to be threatened by that. Everybody needs to chill out on the guy, regardless.

Agreed. When you’re one of the best, you end up getting crap that’s completely undeserved. I’m definitely a fan of the guy and can’t wait to see him coaching the pros soon!
