I think it might only be open to coaches this year…not good for anyone else who follows the sport closely

6k doesn’t mean anything but LC had some guys that stepped up that I think weren’t on anyone’s radar. This team has been putting in some work and if they continue to put these kind of performances out, they will have potential for a top 7 placement in November #hottakeoftheday

I think they proved they have enough to be top-10 come November but considering it’s a squad of mostly 800/1500 guys I would hold off until they run well with the step up in distance to give em the stamp

With the news of Joseph Skoog and Cannon Angotti not competing this season. Any new predictions for top 5 or 10 individuals?

Well they just beat UofIdaho who finished 4th in the Big Sky last year so I’m giving them at least a little credit. Top-10 might have been generous but I’m not sure how you can say they aren’t top-20

Idaho’s 2-3 from that team didn’t run at Inland.

Their 4th and 5th runners from that meet also ran really bad races.

Embry-Riddle is ranked 19th and looked much better than LC did for the first meet.

LC had a team time of 18:45 in a notoriously slow 6k. In what world is that a bad showing? Embry Riddles 1-5 looked solid but they have zero depth. LC had a solid 1-7, 8-10 not too far back.

XC is only scored to 5 guys. you don't go up in the rankings cause you've got the best 8th man in the country.

I’m not saying they had a bad showing they just don’t look any better than anyone expected coming into the year.

LC didn’t even have a good 1-5. They had about a 40 second spread in a 6k and it wasn’t off that strong of a top runner
