WOW and a mega nod to OSU women. They know have these women running these times on the Stillwater course this year (having run Cowboy Jamboree and Pre-Nats)
1) 20:15 Billah Jepkirui
2) 20:17 Natalie Cook
3) 20:20 Taylor Roe
4) 20:40 Gabby Henteman
5) 20:55 Stephanie Moss
OSU’s top-3 women now have the:
3rd fastest ever on this course in Roe @ 20:06
8th fastest ever on this course in Jepkirui @ 20:15
9th fastest ever on this course in Cook @ 20:17
That’s firepower going into Nationals.
OSU and AL look very similar with 3 very strong, pretty strong 4th but big dropoff to 5.
She did, and while the first few look very fast, the whole field was slow probably just being weaker runners. CBU looks to be real - not great but maybe 10-20. For NC St, the more runners on other teams that place between Tuohy/Chmiel and the NM runners, the better.
If that course turns out to be accurate, I think we now have a contender for top placement at Nationals. Due respect, that’s PHENOMENAL!
Regarding the course where Valby ran 18:58 today:
The 2015 SEC Champs were held there where Dominique Scott of Arkansas won in 19:23.50… Dominique Scott returned to this course that same year to win the NCAA South Central Regional Champs in 19:35.30
In 2017 at the NCAA South Central Regional Champs, Arkansas’ Nikki Hiltz won it on this course in 19:35.50
In 2021, Rice’s Grace Forbes won the NCAA South Central Regional Champs here in 19:59.30. Earlier that year, she won the Arturo Barrios Invitational on the same course in 19:53.30
Valby’s time today is screaming fast and SOLO. Huge statement.

My guess is that course was run 200m short
The lacctic/milesplit times of the other runners behind Valby were in line with their other 6k performance times, so fwiw, it doesn't look to be short. There were also no big gaps in the men's race.

Meanwhile, in the locker room, Tuohy is saying “I can run that”.
