Was that directed at me?
I would doubt a WR from Hall. Strongly.
I think she might get Kastor's AR and stall after that.

Do you think Joanie was clean? AW and all that.
Dixon sure busted out a great race in NYC when he was well past his peak years.
Bear in mind that Joan was one of the top marathoners in the world by her mid-20's, peaking at 27/28. She was no Joanie-come-lately. Rod was also an Olympic medalist at 22 and one of the best distance runners in the world through his 20's. Neither of them got substantially better as they aged, and indeed Joan was done by her 30's.
The point is that you don't know if Hall would have just been a Joanie if she'd skipped all the short stuff and done her Marathoning earlier.
How about Jack foster and John Campbell? 2:06 guys?
Everybody keeps trying to convince that knucklehead who won't listen to facts or reason. I personally think people should be banned for making false accusations.
i think the world record holder is a 2.22 runner, who ran 2.14 with the aid of EPO and the shoes.

I didn't ask what she might run. You didn't really answer my question below.

What is apparent from your arguments ( and others here) is that there is no level of performance from an aging athlete that causes you to question whether it is bona fide. You will always find reason to justify it. How much faster does Hall have to run - to improve- before you say - "wait a minute" - and why? You give no indication of that, only an unwavering defence.
Then by your definition there would be very few left, as there have been twenty years of doping accusations here. But you're obviously quite happy with false arguments - provided they confirm your views.

The shoes are not the bigger part of that difference. Or they would also be banned.

Foster didn't take up running till he was 32. He would highly likely have been quite a bit better than 2.11, if he had taken the sport up earlier, in his 20's.
I find it difficult to believe that Hall was competing in the wrong distances for her for 15 years. Joan was the best marathoner of her era. Do you think that might have been Hall 10-15 years ago? And no coach saw that potential in her?

32-41 is a long time. It should only take three years. How did he keep improving past his late 30s? Impossible.
They no longer allow sexist or racist comments. Your comments are clearly sexist. If a man ran 2:20, you would not be commenting.

I almost thought you were joking, but you really went to the bottom of the class on that one.
But you are right - if a man ran 2.20 I wouldn't be commenting, for reasons apparently too obvious for you to grasp.

Maybe because he didn't take the sport up in his mid teens, as Hall did, but a good 15 or so years later. You really are desperate here, by trying to say she is just like so many other runners - when the reason this thread was posted is because she isn't. But I see you are still avoiding the question I pose above. There is no level of performance from her that would cause you to suspect she might not be clean.

I'm not desperate at all. Fact is that Foster improved for years after his body was on the downhill side according to you. Wasn't he also an avid cyclist when younger and thus not totally aerobically undeveloped.?
Campbell was a runner when young and he still improved for years after taking it up again.
I answered your question. I would be suspicious is Hall set a WR.
Of course she's not like so many other runners. She's just similar to a bunch of other examples, even if they are not identical.
I think John Campbell does fit the bill for most similar. A Kiwi too. Imagine that.

Campbell was a great masters runner who quit running for 15 years - unlike Hall - and his best was only 9 minutes faster than her. Imagine that.

"Suspicious"? But not sure. So any time up to 2.14 is clean for her? At 37.

Campbell ran at World Cross in '69 and '88 and moved from 69th to 36th. How could he improve so much despite being so old? He also ran sporadically in between including at the Marathon distance and was fat and unhealthy at times.
Of all the guys running at the same time, he was the guy who broke Foster's record. And they were from the same country! What are the chances? What could possibly have made a guy of his ability want to suddenly become really good? That's about like a high school prodigy plugging away for 15 years before coming to the realization that maybe they could really do something at a different distance.
He was also only about 4 minutes off the WR and not just a great Masters runner. He was a pretty fair open runner too.
He stands out a little too, no?
Probably a 2:05 guy in spring shoes at 28.
MAYBE IT'S MAYBELLINE

I could only be sure if I had concrete evidence. She would need to test positive and admit to it freely.
Lopes was 38 when he ran his record. He also ran World Junior CC in '66 and was well down the field and got a bit better later on at the Senior level.
