We don't need a million thread on this topic. We like one thread per topic. We merged several others into this thread including one called "Alex Pretti was a deranged lunatic." and one called "New York Times reports that Pretti attacked ICE cars 11 days before his death" and one called "LeBron James: Why hasn't he commented on the Alex Pretti killing?"
When I was in high school like 15 years ago, I used to troll on the runnersworld forums and make up ridiculous workouts that I said our coach had us do, fake xc racing stories with running rage-bait in it, hot takes claiming things like Bekele isn't actually that good, etc.
This forum has a lot of high schoolers and college kids who have the same edgy-energy that we had when we were their age. The only difference is that what's in the news now is fascism instead of drama about the Oscars or whatever. So trolling on these threads with ridiculous takes is pretty expected. Just don't engage (it's the same dude) and he'll get bored. The situation, context, video, and Admin's response is so black and white that these hot-takes aren't even believable anymore. There's probably like ~2,000 American's who are happy with this IRL, and they're probably already cops or in ICE by now.
Point is, at least be believable with your trolling.
My police officer neighbor watched the videos and cannot believe what he saw. First problem is what happened before the shooting. Agents deploy pepper spray just because people are not moving back out of the street fast enough. That is clearly excessive force. Then, the agents just jump the guy pile on top of him. Again, clearly excessive force. But the shooting is just an execution. Even if the guy was holding a gun, law enforcement has to verbally warn and demand that he drop the weapon. You cannot use lethal force just because someone is holding a gun or has a gun in their pocket or belt. There is then one shot at close range. The victim is on the ground. The agents back up and fire multiple shots. In the crooked law enforcement circles it is well known that it is better to murder than maim. Deadmen tell no tales. So when you are involved in a lethal force incident and it does not feel right, crooked cops will make sure they finish off the victim. That is exactly what the agents did.
Forgot to mention the video of the aftermath with the agent shouting “where is the f ing gun.” This agent better watch his back. He was probably told by other agents that the victim had a gun. He then goes over to make sure the weapon is secured as it is evidence. He can’t find a gun and realizes his fellow agents are lying and just murdered someone.
Also, high schoolers have a wayyyy different world view than us. They know less history and don't yet fully understand the systems we have in place in society. They don't know anything about corporations, workers rights, a history of American foreign policy, history of racism, history of political revolutions, etc. Many of them have never had their rights infringed yet either, whether it's workers rights (because they haven't been working long or at all) or some sort of other systematic oppression that they didn't even realizing was occurring to them.
So they don't understand the gravity of the situation yet, which explains the hot takes. Also, I used to work construction. A lot of those dudes grow up and just stay like that. Like, their world view never evolves past that of a 14 year old's. That's typically the MAGA pipeline

Sadly we are getting used to this now and we need experts to tell us that executing someone who is not an eminent threat is not ok.
We are getting used to our cities being overrun by federal agents and soon will get used to the military invading our communities.
None of this is any good for either party. I was in Minneapolis last weekend. I could not find anyone who was ok with ICE there. Let’s see joe people feel when they invade their communities.
Democrats are storming churches, terrorizing Christians, running over ICE agents, reaching for guns to shoot law enforcement, and biting their fingers off, but God forbid Chuck Grassley gets rid of blue slips. That would spell the end of civility in this country.
Being highly educated means they understand the world is more complicated, and people should respect each other’s differences. How do you define a woman, in the Trump university standards? And why is this so important to you?
