I’ll say it now. The Future will never lose to a MIAC runner again and will also be an All-American in the steeple. Not sure he can to the steeple/1500 double but I’d love to see a 3:46 from him. What’s the MIAC record?
Congrats to Mo & Pressier on All-American 5K finishes.
power should be ashamed of himself for protesting Goss. It didn’t get his runner into the final so now he just looks like a jerk.
Definitely looked like Ramadan had an impact on Mo those last few laps. Props to him on going for it.
Also, Goss owned that heat. Glad he’s in the final. Not sure how well he’ll compete in a faster heat, but he did well.
Final Miac shout out to Hookom from Augsburg for making the 400 final. She ran great. Chilled in the back and made a move to beat her season best by over half a second.
How many MIAC teams scored at nationals? And little old Augsburg with no indoor or outdoor track scores for both Men and Women.
Let’s be real. Little old Augsburg has a generational talent and distance runners don’t need a track.
The 400 runner is truly awesome and they are lucky soccer allows dual-sport athletes. Otherwise we wouldn’t be treated to her greatness. Two MIAC women in the 400 final!
I’m surprised there isn’t more talk about Goss’s dq and whether Power had a hand in it. Not sure what he would have to gain, but I wouldn’t out anything past that guy.

Hartney got his little 2nd team all American award from the Goss DQ. Very likely Power’s plan all along. Sickening…
I am not a letsrun-er or a cobber but all I want to say is that Goss should not have been dq-ed. That move was a bit aggressive I do agree but not worthy of a DQ by any sense. Whoever protested that result is a nutjob, it is some bs. Looking forward to what the Boss Goss can do outdoors.

Just another example of Power’s overly aggressive pathological obsession with rules. He ruined severe indoor meets for athletes with his insistence on following championship seeding rules and his protest of a fellow MIAC competitor is beyond shameful. The Oles have a new AD. Time to let them know how their coach is thought of by the rest of the MIAC.

Maybe I missed something, but is Augsburg the top MIAC women’s team at Nationals? It’s been a good year in Augsburgland.

Only Power would invent second team All-Americans on social media. If his miler wasn’t second team I’m sure he would have posted something third team. The man has no shame and will literally say anything he thinks will help recruiting. Including making up all-American status.
Does the NCAA publish protests? It seems only fair to show that and publicly shame Power for his backhanded actions. And trying to pretend second team All-American is a thing only adds to it.
I just don’t understand the guy. Looks like they aren’t racing until the second week of April either. When will people realize the Oles deserve a better leader?

I actually am so sick of people talking about Power on these threads that I hope he gets a huge raise and knocks up all of you mothers.
Nobody cares. If you weren’t a bunch of whiny pathetic nobodies, you could actually call the administration and try to get it changed instead of posting here. So maybe toke those fancy Olaf degrees, get jobs and donate to the school and someone will care what you think.
Until then, leave the rest of us alone with your whining.
NORTHFIELD, Minn. ??? St. Olaf College President Susan Rundell Singer announced the appointment of Kelly Mahlum as the college's next athletic director on Friday afternoon.
Macalester College Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Dan Schofer has announced the hiring of Rachel Leonard as Head Track & Field Coach. Leonard joins the Macalester staff after serving as Assistant Track & Field Coach...
They don't run the mile outdoors! Its the 1500 you silly goose!
While on the topic of that race how could you forget my glorious king Lucas LiaBratten! After an incredible indoor season there is no doubt he double podiums in the 1500, and the steeple! The Future might be in trouble!

You are forgetting about one extremely important individual: Ignatius "The Squash" Fitzgerald. It may be close, but I believe The Squash will prevail against The Future. If The Future is an All-American, The Squash will be an All-American a spot or two ahead.
what do we think of Leonard's first season? Can Macs rise extend beyond the grass?
Schofer certainly can recruit. His freshman 400 runner, Ihrke, etc. are very promising. Having Coach Leonard has to allow him more time to work with the distance athletes and they really showed up at MIAC’s. I’d say the future is bright!
