You know it's August when Montreat is getting hyped as title dark horses.
It's always their year until it starts getting to Actual championship season

Hawk tuah spit on that thang!!
Cumberlands is brutally overrated. Their fastest runner at the season opener in Tennessee today over 4 miles was only 21:25 minutes. With that performance they can't even make it into the top 10 at the nationals. Embarrassing!!!
Interesting
You’re obviously very obsessed with Cumberlands, so i’m sure you noticed they didn’t run any of their A team today. But of course you’re not going to mention that because you just want to make Cumberlands look bad. Get a life.

I think the Instagram page has done some great things with the content on there. Hope he continues to post rankings/insight throughout the fall. The rankings are relatively accurate too for preseason. I also made a ranking/tier list for guys & girls (Posting girls soon) for preseason as well. Obviously things will change as races get going. But here is my Top 30 going into the year for the Guys. Oklahoma City is the most tricky to figure out, can't wait to see how they race on grass after a very good track season. The Top 7 teams are all ridiculously loaded.

IU East was one bad race away from being at Nationals. did they lose a lot? Are people sleeping on them?

This is the Girls one. I would be surprised if someone not in Tier 1 is on the podium this fall. Not because 6th isn't bad, I have Montreat at 6th as they have a very good team if they can put it all together. These 5 teams are just ridiculously good at the top. There is going to be an elite team on the girls side who doesn't end up on the podium this year.

It wouldn’t shock me to see Mt. Mercy be even higher. They had a very solid Track season last year and that was their 1st year under a coach who dominated our conference for years.
Its really hard to tell this early isn't it. Being August

I would argue Trost and Carpeggiani should both be in their top 5 if they're running well. Looks like both lost to Aaron Jones who I guess transfered from Milligan and the rest of the Tennessee B team that was tempoing it by 30 seconds and 2 mins
It was an B+ team I would say
The women's team ran at least two that will probably be in the top 5 and they didn't look good either
You would lose that argument easily since neither was impactful last year in XC. Check out the conference results. Go Blue Raiders!

They lost their 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 from mid south last year and their 8 ran today and ran horribly. I would hope that two all American mid D guys would be able to plug the gaps especially considering they signed mostly mid d guys this year.
Right now they have Asslouj and Madeo as reliable XC runners that have proven it in college. Now they have a lot of talent coming in but we'll see how that talent handles the grass. A bunch of holes to fill.
Their ladies team today had the 2,3,4,7,8 from that race
You’re right on some of this except for their top cross-country guy is back from last year. I do agree everyone needs to prove themselves.

Shevchenko is back in spirit but he's been horrible since February. Obviously not the same guy he was in xc
Obviously he's not but obviously November is far enough away.
We will see in 2 weeks in Huntsville Alabama whether Cumberlands is competitive or not…
Pretty nutty performance from LC state at eastern Washington. Could be a problem for EOU and CoI in the CCC
Cornerstone with 2 men under 16.
Lost in the Cumberlands talk is the boys off August the Montreat Cavs getting crushed at app state 4/5 need to be way better for them on both sides
The coaches scoreboard isn’t showing anything for this year yet
Hope it updates soon because some of these early TFRRS results are surprising
