I'm not saying they aren't impressive I'm saying it's what you would expect from a top NCAA distance runner
I mean she ran back to back 1520 5ks only a second behind 2e!
She's obviously one of the top couple of distance runners in the nation!
If you compare her results to what the competition did it makes sense it's kind of where you expect her to be especially if she was going 100% and some of the other girls weren't!

Did you ever consider that they measured the course differently this year, set it up slightly differently, course conditions were different with the grass or whatever surface???
All I know is verse the caliber of the other runners it doesn't scream of an amazing time it screams of a predictable time of a 1525k runner running against 17 minutes 5K runners!!!
Guarantee when she runs against the Alabama girl she doesn't win by a significant margin!!!

The second place girl, Engel, finished a close 2nd to Venters of UT at Griak this year. She was 20 seconds of Ruhly of Wisconsin. Venters was just 6th at Nuttycombe in 20:02. Ruhly was 54th at Nuttycombe in 20:33. One might infer Engel could have run about 20:10 at Nuttycombe and Valby just beat her by 1 minute. Whether Engel was at her best in TX I do not know.

Check every girl through the 7th or 8th place runner and you will see that all of them lost by about the same amount of time last year
And they are all 1640 to 1710 minute runners on the 5K track!
Valby ran all out effort... No one else ran all out! It's just common sense! the same as in the Amber trotter performance!!!
I guarantee you the Alabama girls give her a run for her money when they compete and I guarantee you NCAA Cross country Nationals is a close race if she wins and she probably won't!
