This is a case that resonates with me - it wasn't well publicized at the time, but it shows just how random these attacks can be. Sherry Arnold was a 43 yo Math teacher who was kidnapped during a dawn run in rural Montana in 2012. The 2 men were on a cocaine binge and decided to kidnap and murder a woman - just any woman they came across. Her body was found 2 months later buried in a shallow grave in another state. One man received the death penalty and the other 80 years to life. No sexual assault, they were just high and decided to kill someone!

It's just odd that he's cleaning his car in front of the whole neighborhood at his KNOWN address hours after the crime. I read through the daily mail link too and his carelessness is just off.
I guess based on the downvotes of LRC, everyone has it made up in their minds that he was a sociopath who raped and murdered her then dumped her off and that's it. No possible other option. Sorry for defending someone on the possibility of a contract job, but hopefully the police aren't this close minded. Like I said, unfortunately kidnapping to prostitution is a prevalent bisuness in Memphis (and big citites like NYC, LA accordingly), and it often doesn't get much attention in the news which is why I suspect people aren't considering it a possibility.
