It appears that Athing has said that she didn’t know Keely was on her inside until she ( Athing) moved from the outside of the lane towards the inside. Now, I posted a photo of Athing and Keely just towards the end of the final bend, and I said it looked to me that Athing - before she made the move -was checking out her position on the big screen. Well, another poster came on and said that there is only a small screen at that end of the stadium. Well, here’s a photo of the stadium and I‘ve highlighted Athing position, and the “small” screen in blue. I’m afraid that Athing definitely knew where Keely was BEFORE she made the move, and so she deliberately set out to interfere with Keely’s forward movement I’m not impressed

The 2nd photo is one of the few accurate things you've posted on this thread. It shows the runners FACING TOWORDS THE STANDS near the 100m start line!
And yet the "small screen" is 90 degrees to their left. Athing Mu couldn't have been analyzing what was on that screen at the time you have indicated without turning her head extremely to the left, which she clearly wasn't doing.
Your whole entire theory is a bunch of made up BS! Stop already!
Correction. 16 pages of ONE poster (portsea57) repeatedly claiming black woman almost hurt white woman. It's only a couple trolls who try to stir the racism pot on this website. The up vote/down vote ratios in the first few posts tell the story of how the LR posters feel about it.
This thread should have been locked as soon as Keely Hodgkinson herself said that she had room and simply did not have anything left in her legs to take the lead.
Hodgkinson closed the gap from Tokyo, but ultimately had to settle for the silver.Website: http://flosports.link/3p20lTjSubscribe: http://flosports.link/3p4Y...

Fans will never see what they don't want to see. But there's the usual deflection - it's all about "race" (and not the running kind).
Dude you challenge the rationale of fans, of which I see very few here, and yet you have made literally over a thousand posts on Athing Mu. You constantly address your posts to the "people who stupidly claim she will break the world record" yet there are only a handful who have ever said that. You on the other hand, have spent a greater part of the a year rcross referencing multiple athletes entire careers and presenting the data here to state your case that a) you are stupid if you thinks she will break the world record b) if she does she is doping. You are tormenting yourself over an enemy that doesn't exist. You are like that character in the Simpsons who is driven to madness by the fact that people actually like Homer. In you case you would just replace Homer with Athing Mu.
I'm sorry but you are the last person who should be pointing out the denialism of these presumed "fans".

A "thousand posts"? Your comment has clearly departed from reality and verges on hysteria. I guess that goes with being a fan.
I’ve just had a thought! I posted the photo below, and suggested that it shows Athing looking at the TV screen to check out what was happening behind her. Now, a poster came on and reckoned that she couldn’t be looking at the screen because she’d have to have her head at a more acute angle. I have now realised that his is a pivotal photo. I’m sure that Athing is in the process of looking FOR the screen because, logically, that would be the smart thing to do, and a step further on she could certainly have seen the screen not only by turning her head slightly but also turning her eyes. But, of course, what she should have been doing was watching out for a competitor coming up the in the space she had created by running on the outside of her lane ( like ALL the commentators were telling her might happen) Now, looking at the photo most sensible people would say that at that point, Athing must have been aware of Keely. It doesn’t make sense that she wouldn’t be. Unless, she was distracted. Distracted how? Well, obviously, distracted by focusing all her attention towards the screen. Now, where does this leave us. Well, in a bit of a mess. 1) Athing runs on the outside of her lane in spite of commentator after commentatoe telling not to do that. 2) With that in mind, the onus is on Athing to be aware that somebody might indeed be filling the space she ( Athing) has created on her inside. So, I will concede that - maybe - Athing wasn’t aware of Keely because rather than watching out for an athlete on her inside, she was looking for the screen to check her position. Now, this distraction wouldn’t have mattered if her rivals had been yards back - like at the Olympics - but because Keely was inches away from drawing level, it did matter. It resulted in Athing moving sharply to her left and trying to access a space that wasn’t there. Indeed, a space that Athing never got to occupy. And, once Athing realised her mistake - which she would have done - she certainly shouldn’t have crowded Keely - maybe even made contact - like she did. And, she certainly shouldn’t have continued to crowd/squeeze Keely all down the finishing straight.
Why is everyone defending Mu here? She did a dirty move, there's no arguing that. We still haven't seen the head on footage, I wonder why? Every other 800m race ever shows a head on shot. Congrats to Mu but that was dirty.
