Mu opened the door and welcomed Hodg to come inside, but Hodg declined
She baited her into the inside and then pinched her in on the home stretch. Dirty dirty tactics
No and no.
Hodg tried to sneak in along the rail, Mu cut her off, but not a DQ. It was driving me nuts that she DOESN'T use the rail when she's in the lead, while Fisher does just the opposite.
A little questionable? Yes
Grounds for a DQ? No way
Mu almost lost it by insisting on running in the outside of lane 1. The lanes are wide enough to pass on the inside and Keely took advantage. She simply did not have enough left in her legs in the final 50m.
Absolutely not. Mu is in the middle to outside of the lane. Keely tried to squeeze through. If Mu moved, it was no more than inches. They are in the same lane. Keely has no right of way. If anything if Keely contacted Mu, she might be dq’d.
I just wanna say they are fast and beautiful.
I think you're right. It appeared Mu started cutting towards the inside of lane 1, however... the gap seemed open enough for Keely to take it if she had the legs
Is Hodgkinson clean?

Don't hold back your disappointment at the result, Letsrun.
Mu actually moved out to let her in.
What was hodgkinson thinking ?
If you want the inside rail at the end, you should have lead from the beginning.
You have two choice, either lead and get the inside rail at the finish line OR you can conserve your energy by sitting back on the leader, and try to take the lead by running through outside rail at the end.
You cannot have both advantages. You have to choose one or the other. Shame on you hodgkinson !
Letsrun: years of calling for American born athletes to win.
Mu wins: we’re cheering for the British girl.
Can you get DQ’ed for being faster and outsprinting the last 50? This supposed cutoff is you guys being fooled by a camera angle.
She's white and fast, so she is a little sus
Mu moved inside way less than someone like Paul Chelimo has moved to the outside.
The risk of trying to pass on the inside is that there may not be as much room as you think there is. Hodkinson took the risk and found there wasn't quite enough room for her and she didn't have enough speed to really push her way through.
Just great fair racing IMHO
