Btw Does anyone care to elaborate on exactly what happened at the 2009 Detroit Free Press marathon relay? I know someone named Dave posted about his experience with Kip at this race on the indianarunner site, but he said he had to delete it because he didn't want it to end up on letsrun.com. He then said he'd have to discuss it over beers because he didn't want it to end up on letsrun.com. Does anyone know more?
From what I understand there was some relay in Michigan where a relay team kip was on was suspected of cheating. Finally Kip had to admit that he must have taken a "wrong turn?" is that correct? I think his teammates went apeshit and that's what started the whole thing from 2009-2010, correct?

It's a better story if Kip runs Boston. And even a better story if he's spotted running..whether he cheats or runs legit. there's been no new evidence forever. Kip racing again will add to the intrigue. I personally hope he's there.

If he shows and breaks 3hrs legitimately, would that be a win for Kip? He's 50yrs old now, so I wonder if that would put him close to front of his age group.
Did anyone get a response back from the BAA Race staff? If so, can you copy and paste it here?
If kip pulled off a 2:49 at Boston at age 50 (he did a 2:49 at Missoula but was DQ back in 2010), it'd be hard for the BAA to just stop caring, as 2:35-2:40's or so for a 50 yr old is very competitive age graded performance)

So It appears that because dr kip litton used charlotte Thunderroad as a BQ and he wasn't DQ there,, that performance is treated as legit by the BAA...despite other racers at charlotte emailing the RD saying kip cut the course..Kippy waited 5mins to cross the starting line, disappears off the course but still hit all the mats at Charlotte, walks across the finish Line in 2:55 net time, good time for a 50 yr old like Dr Litton

Disappointment #2 - BAA's lack of common sense. This guy is a serial Marathon cheater. Failure to realize he cheated in prior BAA races as well e.g. Baa 5k 2010
