If he retains his presidency but then is charged criminally after he is out of office, is that "in the clear"? I guess I would say no in that case...BUT I would be wrong that he would lose his presidency. Most of you here (because most people are this way) would be devastated to be wrong about a prediction. I couldn't care less if I am wrong. What I will care about is if Trump somehow evades justice (this would be a situation in which he is found guilty of some bad crimes and yet pays no personal or political price). BUT, to be clear, if the Mueller investigation and all the others determine that he is indeed not guilty, I will accept that judgement.

The problem for Trump started because he's a criminal, and since the election that has become increasingly clear. He then obstructed justice by firing Comey and telling the world in a televised interview that he did it because of the Russia investigation. Since then we have found out that Don Jr., Manafort, and Kushner colluded (conspired) with Russia to help Trump win. This will be the finding of Mueller. Bannon called that meeting "treasonous" and said there is no way Trump didn't know about it. Trump then further obstructed justice by writing that stupid memo that said the meeting was about adoptions. He and his lawyer lied about that of course, but we now know the truth.

It's the constant lying, and lying about things that could hurt him that has turned so many people to be so adamantly against this horrible, lying, criminal person.
On election day, we didn't know what we know about him now. We all knew he was an a$$hole, but we didn't know that just a year into his presidency he would be facing:
Obstruction of justice
Money laundering
Collusion (in the form of conspiracy and/or bribery) with at least Russia and perhaps other countries
Bank Fraud
Wire Fraud
Campaign Finance violation
RICO violations
Emoluments clause violation (blatant too)
Continued legal issues from several women
and likely several other things
