That makes a lot of sense. He's mad that MAJ Browne should be "serving a combat role" instead of coaching. He fails to understand the government hiring process. They will almost always hire their own.

- Let's not insult the US Track & Field coaching PROFESSION by associating it with Major Dan "The Scam" Browne's antics. The Brand doesn't match the Man.

Dude's getting incensed over WCAP spending, instead of stuff like

So what you're saying is that you're a failed coach, probably at some back woods high school, but you have all the cool boy certs from USATF, spent hundreds of dollars getting all these cool boy certs. Maybe you coached in college, probably D2 or D3, have had moderate success. You approached WCAP about coaching and got shot down, maybe even directly from MAJ Browne himself?
That boat of yours is filling up fast.

Alice:
- Not tracking your connection between the F-35 & the US Army's World Class Kenya Program.
- One's about a 5th generation aircraft designed to protecti the country, the other's about a tax-payer funded Armed Forces program that conducts legalized human trafficking opertions from Kenya who subsequently parachute pseudo-soldiers into the country just prior to the Olympic year & take spots away from American (pure) athletes.

- I'd only apply to coach for programs I respect -- thanks anyway.
- Recommend consider working some Talking Points for LtGen Dahl --- the shoe drops tomorrow on this nefarious program. There are a number of posts that reflect my "beef" and those of others.

- SSgt: When are you going to turn that homework I assigned to you the other day ... the one about comparing the USMA school records vs WCAP reqmnts?
- You call Major Browne a Coach? Again, let's not insult the profession.

It doesn't matter. WCAP can set whatever standards they want irregardless of USMA records.
I stand by my claim, and you have not proved otherwise, that anyone in the Army who meets the standards can apply for WCAP. Also, as with just about everything in the Army, there are always waivers.
Alan
- Never disagreed with your claim .... that said, anyone that wants to run for President is also free to file the appropriate paperwork/petition. It's probably easier ... I think at one point their were more Republican candidates than Americans who met these self-imposed WCAP standards.
- Standards: What you're missing is that WCAP sets it's standards so high for nefarious reasons ... see previous posts. Make no mistake, the WCAP's not interested in further developing you, CPT Pennington, or any othe soldier.
- Waivers: no doubt, the Oregon National Guard's waived the right for Major Browne to serve in his primary duties; no doubt, the Army's waived follow-on Operating Force assignments for WCAP athletes; etc. etc. I believe you!
- WCAP's the closest thing US Track & Field has to NCAA Basketball's "One and Done!"

High standards?
A good 50-100+ white American runners have met those lofty standards.
WCAP wants world class athletes....not 2:30 marathon hobby joggers.
If none of the 100 or so white American runners feel the need to join the Army....then why not look at the thousands of Kenyan Amercians who join seeking citizenship?
Your turn.
Alan
SSgt:
- You get an "F" on your homework.
- No way 50 to 100 Americans have run the following times this year:
800m – 1:46.50
1500m – 3:39.00
5000m – 13:33.00
10,000m – 28:15:00
3000m SC – 8:32.00
- In fact, no one at West Point has ever run these times, let alone anyone in the "Real Army"
- This only gives license for Maj Dan "The Scam" Browne & Sgt Major (Ret) Willie Wilson to conduct legal human trafficking operations that target Rift Valley Kenyans to become pseudo-Soldiers & disrupt USA Track & Field development models on the federal taxpayer dime.
We went through this already...
Look at 2015 top times. 2016 is not the year to chase times...2014/2015 is.
http://www.usatf.org/statistics/topMarks/2015/Outdoor-Men.aspx
Count them yourself. I already did and posted the numbers a few pages ago.
Next move Chester.

Do you honestly believe that the WCAP guys would be in the U.S. military if it were not for their interest in becoming Olympians?

Runner's World's Pete Gambaccini didn't "drill down" w/harder WCAP questions in his article 2 years ago .... he does note that WCAP does have non-Kenyans ... shooting team members:
http://www.runnersworld.com/newswire/kenyan-ncaa-runner-up-joins-us-armyI can't take the smell ..... I'm dying on Chelimo "giving back." He scammed his team at UNC-G & moved to another one w/WCAP .....http://www.militarynews.com/fort-lee-traveller/news/army/soldiers-to-run-in-u-s-olympic-track-field-trials/article_0ab57708-3e3b-11e6-b945-8bb8647dec7b.html
“The WCAP program has been great for me,†said Chelimo, a native Kenyan who came to America on a college scholarship to run and became a naturalized U.S. citizen by joining the U.S. Army. “My main goal was to come to the United States because no other country would pay for my college scholarship for four years. So I thought it would be great to give to give back to the United States and join the Army, and then I heard about WCAP. Now I can continue my running career and also be a Soldier.â€
