The news station is saying that at least one other person was involved in the late stages of her murder. Apparently the Virginia Tech Cross Country runner was texting people on where to dump her body after they were initially spotted at Pandapas Pond.
^^^How has he not been charged as a co-conspirator in these cases?? The police never charge him with anything that I know of
According to Appellate Filings in Alexandria, a witness maybe coming out of the woodwork claiming a much younger man, perhaps a Cross Country runner was instead running away from the scene of the 3rd slaying:
Enter: Louis De Merode - 02/06/2014. AKA: neighbor across the street whose housemaid claimed to have seen a much younger man running across the final victim's front lawn. This mysterious witness was never presented by the prosecution, for one reason: it completely butchers their theory of an older white man, balding, walking with an "awkward gait" or "shuffle walk", which presumably places an injured Severance at the scene of the 3rd shooting.
This lone Washington Post article tells it all at the very bottom. The housemaid across the street heard a dog going crazy, looked out her front window, and saw a much younger man, perhaps a cross country runner in a dead sprint, going the OPPOSITE direction of where the prosecution claims that Severance parked his 1999 Ford Escort hatchback at Timber Branch PKWY and Valley Ave:
Where did Louis De Merode and his housemaid's story go during the trial? What is swaying these Cross Country runners to grow morbid? No one is certain.
Gulp, it turns out that Louis De Merode is not just a potential witness but according to his Facebook page he is THE personal trainer and running instructor for the notorious Potomac Runners club. The same club that Eisenhauer and half the VT Cross Country team trained with during the last few offseasons. De Merode is also apparently fascinated by "duck ponds":
Centered between Pulaski and Dublin VA, authorities are now searching Eisenhauer's records of transactions at the New River Valley e-Scrap recycling plant. Perhaps a brilliant idea, electronic scrap records are not always retained past 30 days:

Pandapas Pond is a pond less than a mile west of Craig Creek Road. I believe the WP article stated they were spotted one mile east of Craig Creek Road. Either way, we know they traveled north of Blacksburg for one reason or another and their cover was terrible.
Great. Other than being on trial for a kidnapping, was this guy even any good at collegiate running? Despite a leg injury, allegedly, we don't even know if he ever ran a race for the Hokies.

2016 #ACC Track & Field Championships won by Virginia Tech! Virtually being lead by senior Tommy Curtain, the Hokies dominated the scoreboard by qatherinq 129 points with the next closest school accruing a mere 93 points, and so on.
Virginia Tech T&F dominated the Men's 800M, 5000, 10000, Javelin, and "Disqus" events. They also dominated the Pole Vault competition and claimed the TOP 8 in that area:
