Another NXN qualifying team Glendora had a junior Brady Bertsch go from 17:43 5k last year to 15:56 at state this year where he was their 5th man. He also ran a 15:52 at Clovis

None of those guys were in AF’s top 7 last year
I ran a ton in high school so even though I didn’t start off great as a freshman, I ended up as a pretty good runner by the end. All of this was mid 90s.

All I did different from other kids was run all summer and winter. I always started the next season faster than I’d ended the previous one whereas other kids got out of shape and had to get back to their base.
