I love this! The top 100 teams should be asking others to come race them and trying to go race others. Everyone with serious NXN aspirations in middle american should seriously think about joining them at Gans Creek. The more transparent the top teams are with scheduling this far out, the better!

If you’re talking about the American Fork boys, it was mentioned in another thread that 2 of their top 7 had a flu before NXR (and one of them had a surgery earlier in the season too) and ended up not scoring. Lots of time to recover and I can see AF performing better than they did at NXR (they also finished higher at NXN than they did at NXR last year too)

That is true. It doesn’t matter how good your team is, if you get totally blitzed by the regional champ.

I understand them wanting to add nike elite athletes, but shouldn't you only add the ones that were close to qualifying? Or maybe add others who should have qualified? Or just say all nike elite athletes get an invite. This seems strange.

Adams might have cut his training after NXR….. seems a little foolish to notify these athletes after they’ve likely cut their training and started taking a break.

I know on the girls side both these athletes got brooks golden tickets, maybe Nike didn't want their athletes at brooks and not at nike do you think this played a part in who they choose?

Coming back to say I didn’t realize Ben Adams got 16th in the SW. What an absolute joke and disgrace to the runners that earned it. Completely unfair

This is a blatantly obvious political move. NXN is obviously going to keep rolling, but this has to piss off so many coaches of bubble teams and athletes that barely didn't qualify. These kids have NIL deals, connections to Nike and just get swept into the meet at the last minute by rule changes. Completely ridiculous.
