I want to be excited but finding it really hard to. Strand probably peaked for this and would be shocked to see him medal. Cole - who knows - he peaks at the right time but 3rd today does bode well. Nuguse is a baller and felt fairly confident he could medal - really hard to lead wire to wire.
Kessler ran super clean and just didn’t have the extra gear.
Congrats to Koech - interested to see how Strand and Koech fare in a final when it’s 1:50-1:51 for the first 800.
Holding out hope for Hocker to time his peak right like Paris.
Crazy that the Olympic gold medalist only got third, the bronze medalist is off the team, and the 5th placer is also off the team. Shows how deep the men’s 1500m is now.
US is just printing world beater 1500 runners off a conveyor belt right now
Nuguse pretty much copied Jakob's Paris Olympic final and pulled everyone to a fast time while fading to 4th/5th.
Hobbs goes from 5th in Paris Olympics to 4th in USA the next year, yikes. Wild thing is he isn't really much worse this year, it's everyone else running so strong.

Nuguse just didn't have it. To me 58 for 2nd 400 was telling.
I wish he and Jingy would leave it for the first 700 and just power the last 800 home like El G did in Athens. It’s the only way that works in championship races. Leading the whole race costs you 1-2s at least, as showed today
