Why is Malmo still a mod?

Keep up the good work! Maybe an explanation can be added to the thread when posts are deleted…

Mods should probably just delete half the threads. They are all unreadable and make no sense since half the posts are being removed.

It’s thread about board moderation and we are discussing a mod. A mod who right on cue is deleting post criticizing him. So on brand. So sad.

I think most people here are overlooking two very important things: 1) moderatoring is actual work, and very little of it is enjoyable; 2) this forum is largely *self*-moderatored. Most of the deleted posts are deleted because they have been reported by users here.

Anyway, I hope you don't take the harsh words too personally. I think you're doing a fine job and that includes the time you deleted one of my posts that was reported. I somehow found the strength to go on in life...

The problem is the mods are all the same sort of people as the people who demand any opinion they don't like be deleted.

If an opinion differs from their own they will report the post.

You need to either hire all right wing/libertarian mods who actually value free speech or your need to just get rid of the mods. They clearly don't provide any value to the site.

Or you need to just remove the forum altogether. It's silly to provide a space for political and other discussions in the options and then employ mods who delete everything they disagree with.

The problem is asshats who push the limits of civility so they can whine about getting posts deleted.

Do tell us more about this civility you clearly cherish so deeply.

Are there actually people who think that the mods are too left wing?

There's like 12 right-wing threads on the 1st page right now.

I'm not saying the mods are ultra conservatives, but to claim they aren't sympathetic enough to conservative voices is a bit much.
