Well, I guess this is just one more reason for Tuohy to just let ‘er rip and test herself on a hilly course and break that record today!

By race time it should be 43-45 degrees, light wind of about 8mph, and really no chance of rain under a cloudy sky. Hopefully that grass is cut nice and short!

Can't get much better weather than that for a XC meet

I am still skeptical about how well Sam Bush will run. I have her in the 10-20 range today, probably somewhere around 15th.

I agree that she has gotten better but today a pressure cooker. For me her consistency has been an issue in the past. I would like to see her change my thinking about that today and finish in the top 10 and preferably the top 5. If Chmiel and/or Starliper are on the fritz Bush will need to step up big time.

I believe that the NAU women are going to surprise some people today. They're ready for a big performance.

I still have Bush in 2nd. I believe that as Tuohy takes off to challenge herself, that Bush will be running with group #2 with Kemboi, etc. and then pull ahead at the finish up that hill for 2nd.

How do race entires work? The B race at the live results is now populated with every runner. Do teams not declare who is in the B and A races beforehand?

IOW, it looks like every runner gets a bib and the teams just need to not start more than 7 in the A race. We won’t know who is actually running until they start. Is that right?

top 3 seem strong but can they compete with NM at 4/5? But NAU could get 3rd today in a heartbeat. And if NC St sits Chmiel/Shaw/Starliper that might get interesting for 2nd.

I would expect Tuohy to be with the front pack until 4.5k....then she pushes.

Perfect weather for a race.

I decided to do the 1month subscription to watch this weekends races and the conference races.

Even the commentators of the race won’t know who’s running the big race until they line up, and even then they don’t tend to know until the race starts and they start picking people out of the crowd during the race.

I would be surprised if they don't start Starliper...I would think they would want her to get as much big race experience as possible at this point. I could see them holding out Chmiel if she is not 100%.

In the end, winning Nuttycombe as a team is not overly important.

I don't think Runnerspace streams the conference meets...ACCNX, SEC network+, Pac 12 Network, Big 10 Networt....maybe some on ESPN+
