So it would hold true that if she did less training, he would be better than her peers just not vastly better. By your logic, if she trained less and was slowere but still better than her peers, she would be doper eevn while being slower than she currently is. You are losing everyone with no logic.

According to Valby and her Coach, she had surgery in June and also an injury set back end of summer. How does she continue to progress so much while dealing with injuries at the same time? Is she just that much more talented that injuries don't matter? Don't most runners plateau or regress for a bit when they come back? Genuinely want to know.

Those are good questions. It seems to me she’s been caught up in the vicious runner’s-injury-cycle since her Senior year in high school. You know the drill, the athlete cross-trains, and then comes back with too much intensity too fast, and boom, rinse, repeat.
It appears to me per the photo on the LRC front page that Valby looks even thinner now than she did at Nationals, which might be concerning. For reference, compare Allie Ostrander’s high school pics to her college freshman pics when she literally shocked everyone at the 2015 Nuttycombe Invite, the day the Freshman took down the big 3 Seniors in Molly Seidel, Dom Scott, and Courtney Frerichs.
I surmise training for long hours on machines can be deceptive in how much calories are actually being burned. I hope Valby and Cook have professional nutritionist counseling! Smoothies can only go so far.

That photo reminded me of a young Jim Ryun when he bested Snell at the old Balboa Stadium in San Diego. That dude was skinny.

Firstly, there was no photograph but news-reel footage from a distance. Secondly, you weren't there in 1965. Thirdly, women cannot achieve the same low body-fat as the thinnest males without doping. So, by your argument, she was probably doping.

Why don’t you listen to her interview? It seems plausible to me.
And I do think, between the two, if one of them has used PED, it is tuohy, just by her appearance. In the top tier, to the very top tier of distance athletes, well over 90% will not have that type of physique. (But she is not top-tier yet; maybe borderline.)
It’s just common sense. Mid-d athletes can carry extra muscle, but not the most successful distance athletes.
To hit it home, one of the most knowledgeable coaches in this country had all his athletes, regardless of gender, occasionally get on the scale. Granted, his objective was to compete in the absolute top-tier.

As usual, you don't know what you are talking about. Snell did not start running as a youth. He ran in his school sports but didn't train for it. It wasn't his sport. His early major sporting interests were rugby and tennis - at which he excelled. He didn't start training to become a runner until he was 19. He became an Olympic champion at 21 - after only a little over 2 years in the sport.

Those aren't close-ups and they don't show an athlete of exceptional thinness. Ryun was twice the size of any Kenyan (and nothing like Kiprop, for example). You are even more confused if you think he reminds you of Valby. But in your case, that doesn't surprise me.

I will post my response again - even though the mods don't appear to believe that fairness entitles a response to a clearly personal attack. Contrary to your assertions - I don't lie, I don't blatantly make stuff up, and my purpose is not to slander athletes in this forum.
We are discussing running in a running site. That can include the subject of doping, which is an acknowledged feature of the sport. The possibility has been raised here - and not initially by me - that Valby might be doping. That falls within the rules of discussion on this site. It isn't "criminal" because, among other things, she is not being accused of a crime. Doping is only against the rules of sport. It is a problem in sport and discussion of the issue is of public interest. Elite athletes are involved. To not discuss their possible involvement would lead to suppression of the truth. But there are many - including of course the athletes, as well as fans like you - who would prefer that.

I will say this, Valby is lean (and very tanned) Must the FL air and sun.
