I'm sure this will offend a lot of people, but when were these allegations proven?

Alberto denied but the evidence was enough for safe sport to hand down a ban. I know Safesport is a bit rinky-dink but they wouldn't just hand out a ban on a they said they said situation.
How do you know they wouldn't do that? That's probably exactly what the situation is.
I don't believe it. If Salazaar did stuff like this, there would be a lot more stories like this. If you are Jeffrey Esptein or Bill Cosby, you have many accusers.
Sounds like Kara made up a story to SafeSport.

did you believe it when the Gouchers came forward about the sketchy use of prescription drugs?
Oh what's that? it wasn't just Kara and Adam?
it was Magness, Mackey, Rohatinsky, that masseuse bro and Stuart Eagon?
Oh and what is more?
Years later more people came forward. But it took years.
Ritz, Welling, Lambie (the lambie story sucks to me because her husband is Salazar's best friend's son), Mary Cain, Yoder Begley.
People aren't just going to come diving out of the abyss. It can take a while for multiple accusations to surface. It can take a while for people to realize they have been abused. Salazar likely groomed a lot of these athletes. For years and years people admired him.
Also, as with the gymnastics scandal, many of the girls there didn't know they were even being abused. It can take a while to come to terms with that too.

A huge lack of information for people to say he's guilty or not. A Prosecutor would be very, very hesitant to bring up charges on someone who has been in contact with dozens and dozens of athletes and ends up with only one accuser and no witnesses...and possibly a disgruntled runner with an ax to grind??? I don't know and either do any of you.
I'm with this.
Unless we suddenly have multiple reports of girls saying Alberto did this like happened with Cosby and Epstein and Nassar, I'm thinking the accuser's story is false. If you are a predator you don't just do it once.
It's already been said by many but here it goes, there is zero reason for him massage the athletes.
There are certainly elements of "rush to judgment" here which usually follows the inherent racism. We've seen this story before and it usually ends up ugly for the authorities.
Unfortunately, the accused must bear the cross for some time before justice is exposed for what it is - illusory for some.

Do you need to see the test results for you to believe an athlete banned by WADA for using PEDs used PEDs? Those are not made public either. The matters handled by SS are private, very personal matters. What don't you understand about that? You think victims of sexual abuse by coaches want their affairs made public?

Particularly, if it's only female athletes he gave massages to.

Athletes get massages often.

So, you admit there really isn't any proof.
The burden of proof is on opposite sides in your little whatabout. Accuse someone of a crime, you have to prove it. Doping control is sports marketing - the athletes are presumed dirty unless the public is convinced they are clean. Which athlete hasn't been called a doper?
Wait - were you seriously drawing an equivalence between doping and sexual assault?
I would bet dollars to donuts there will be zero criminal charges - because while no actual evidence is available to concerned observers, and most probably does not exist.
All that’s required for Safesport to end a career, to irrevocably destroy public image, and embolden a dog pile of haters is a subjective judgement call on “believability”.
As is that were something that can be measured or reliably and objectively determined.
A severe outcome should require something more substantive than a “gut feel” one side was more believable or relatable.
SafeSport overreaches their mandate, has broken and bureaucratic processes, and generally seems to letting both complainants and defendants down.

It will be a lie as usual.

"It can take a while for greedy law firms smelling $$$ over the carcass of a man's reputation to circle like sharks and persuade any female who ever came into contact with him to 'realize they have been abused'.
Fixed for you.
Though I don't doubt we will see people coming forward on Twitter. Maybe even Mo will miss the attention and suddenly recall on an Instagram post that Al Sal's hands wandered way too close to his Mobutt one or two times.

It’s definitely not Mary.
Most likely not. And that's not what I meant.
Mary claimed in her lawsuit explicitly that Nike should have informed of Salazar's earlier sexual misconduct.

When did head XC and T&F coaches start with the massages?

and why is it "probably" and not "possibly?" Based on your posting history, I wouldn't bet anyone's mortgage on your judgement calls.

Male coach massaging female athlete is the first red flag. At the very least, Salazar lacks common sense. Doesn't prove that he did it. But not a good look either.
BTW, maybe I missed it somewhere, but has Salazar sued all of these people and organizations for defamation yet since these are all exaggerations or lies? I know if anybody made something up this incredibly damaging that I would be out to empty some wallets....
