If you had a 150 plus page thread on an internet forum about your serial cheating and you HAD any sort of plausible explanation, who wouldn't try to set the record straight?

Especially, if you were a medical professional who's personal ethics should be of some interest to potential patients.

Conversely, if you had no explanation what would you do?

I might just tell everyone A) to get a life and leave me alone or B) to go to hell.

Because there have been no satisfactory answers because we all know deep down there are none. As I said before, a full admission and this would have been an ancient memory.

I admit that I have shaved time off of my races. I see it as a challenge that does not affect any persons well being. Yes, some strategy has involved waiting at the start line for a few minutes and leaving the course.

If I took a podium position from anybody then I am truly sorry to have interfered with your hard work. I have not collected any cash or prizes of any substantial amount.

Let us consider what is an appropriate response to an action.

Yes, and I suppose it was because of Kip's modesty that he regularly hides his bib number during races and skips the parts of courses where photographers are snapping pictures of everyone else who is actually running the full course.

Yes and i believe Wayne Kursh, Delaware Marathon race director, mentioned that there was about 10K that was donated. Where did it go?

I don't think Kip should be taking this much heat for such a little thing. I'm not really hurting anyone when Kip starts late and strategically plans out beforehand my 'race strategy.' Kip looks at the race as a challenge to outsmart the other competitors I'm surprised that others do not follow my strategies becuase it's really all in good fun. When IKip enter races Kip doesn't try to run faster but rather Kip tries to outwit, outlast, outplay my competitors. I rest my case. (hopefully) /thread

For those clamoring for a response, go back thru the thread. Dr Litton has responded quite a while ago in lengthy interviews with several reporters, one of whom I know personally. Most of the clothing changes were not really that, but rather just the removal of outer layers. This is why bibs weren't pinned to outer layers. When he found himself close to the start time with trainers on, he switched back to race shoes- this only happened a couple times. Neither of these are rule breakers. From photographer interviews it was revealed that pics are not necessarily snapped when a bib isn't showing.

If Dr Litton cheats, there is at least one writer who will publish a piece about it. Thus far, it just hasn't happened yet.

I went back and read through this thread, and when I did, I was more convinced that Kip had cheated.

Question for Friend in the know: Where are these lengthy interviews with several reporters? Also, isn't it a USATF rule that your bib number has to be showing at all times?

Actually, it did happen. Did you read the book Running for the Hansons by Sage Canaday? Kip Litton is mentioned.
