I spoke to TAMU administration/alumni. All things that where said from the former walk-on athlete about coach Mallard is untrue. He left on his own to take another job. You can do your own research from the school and find out for yourself.

Of course the administration is going to say that. They don’t want an investigation opened up. They pretty much did a trade. Engren went UTEP to TAMU, Mallard TAMU to UTEP. Clearly you don’t know the ins and outs of the toxicity of some programs. Not just track and field across all NCAA sports. Coaches will leave on “their terms.” To just be to hired somewhere else.

Considering this was all a lie by a sorry athlete it is pitiful that you are pretending it was true. The sure sign that there is truth to such salacious allegations is simple, was the coach fired or quietly allowed to move on. The reason for this is so the school does not have to embarrass the student athlete, they will sacrifice their reputation and the coaches to protect the child. And that is the case here. The entire story was malacious and karma is a b!%^$#. Coach Mallard did no such thing, he was falsely accused, and sadly the kid cost him his job. And for those wanting to believe in conspiracies, IF the allegations were true, UTEP would never have approved his hire. There was an investigation into the events, so save the conspiracy theories

Anyway, it would appear Avery Anderson gave up looking for a new distance coach so is coaching UCLA XC this year as he is the only one listed under XC coaches and they only have 4 on staff and their first meet was today?

Great move for UTRGV. This guy can coach and build a program. Everywhere he’s coached has been highly upgrade including plenty of All Americans .

She should have built her resume someplace else. Avery Anderson won’t be renewed in June and the entire staff will be gone. She was hired to assist Avery as he’s the Head cross country coach now.
UCLA screwed this up so bad. This is actually hard to watch.
