Did you not read what I wrote? Regina was running PRs at 39. Lagat's 4:54 isn't in the same atmosphere as his 3:26. There's no comparison so you've no need to be troubled. If he runs under 13 this year, it still won't be in the same ballpark as his best times.

Jack Frost is reverse trolling. He accomplished his mission: make Rupp look bad, not that Rupp needed any help.

For those who don't know, thyroid hormone enhances metabolism in the body, which means you can run faster. Obviously people with hypothyroidism need it, but those people can't run fast consistently, even with the medication.

No one is arguing that Lagat isn't great. He's one of the greatest ever. I'm arguing that there is no comparison between him and Jacobs, contrary to your posts. Regina was running her best at 39. Lagat is not the same runner he was when he ran 3:26. He's not the same runner he was when he won double WC gold. Do you understand the difference?
