May I ask who can contend with Cortland?

Their average was 24:50, while Calvin's fastest, the current #2 team in the nation, ran 25:00 on a course that is historically faster, and Cortland would have scored 27 points at that meet. (1, 2, 3, 4, 17, (18))

And besides, Cortland's 5th (O'Brien, 25:20) and 6th (DeRusso, 25:22 from the JV race) would have been with NCC/Calvin's #2 runners (once again, on a course that is historically faster in ND), while NCC/Calvin/Stevens Point's 5th were all around 25:50-26:00...

So, once again, who do you think can contend with Cortland?

was at paul short and saw greenlaw drop out around 2 miles and vomit for a good 5-10 minutes. gotta agree with "stop it", and believe if greenlaw didnt have stomach issues would of easily been with cortlands other top 4 finishers.

Geneseo Men and Women (and the alumni) looked good, especially the women. Houghton is turning into a pretty decent program.

Interesting results from Geneseo. Good run by Tom Williams to get second behind Heymann. Geneseo continued to impress two weeks in a row. They were led by a strong showing from Lee Berube, too. I still have some questions, however. Lee Gabler ran unattached? Is he red shirting or taking a year off? Where is Will Haskell? He was a strong runner for them the past couple years and now he is gone. Is he injured, as well? I heard through the grape vine that O'Conner was banged up, too. I think his finish today confirmed that. He would be a boost to a strong Geneseo top seven if he can put together a strong finish at the end of the year. I also like Brett Dolan to come through when it counts at year's end.

It is clear to me that Geneseo is much better than TCNJ. TCNJ will peak well but they need to focus on holding off St. Lawrence and NYU. SLU ran their home course again today for Liberty Leagues.

Ramsey won with Anthony Lucero coming in second. Lucero and Ben Flanagan are surprise individuals. They could make things interesting as displacers at regionals. St. Lawrence looked good with some new faces in their top seven. They have more depth than I gave them credit for. No Kenyans today for the saints, either, curious. Everyone can agree that RPI was better than expect today, too.

Haskell is still around, just didn't race today. Still in good shape too, from what I hear.

Lee Berube ran a ridculously smart race today. He opened up maybe, 10th man for Geneseo and just blew the last 2 miles of the course away. Talking to him after the race, he calculated from his finishing time and 3 mile splits that he closed sub-10 today.

Teams

1. Cortland - Taxes, death and Cortland winning regionals.

2. Geneseo - The Berubes will continue to go up and down but good depth will gets the job done. Remember, I mentioned Brett Dolan first.

3. St. Lawrence - Mwenda looks like the real deal to me even though we never see him race. Fox is much better than what he showed at Liberty Leagues. Jacob Malcomb led a very good supporting cast today.

4. TNCJ - I'm assuming Kopniki won't run. Still, their team is good as long as Rodkawitz is their third and not their seventh.

5. NYU - Schneider's two points will and being the defending national champs are all I'm going on with this pick.

6. Ithaca - Drew Hodge runs a very smart race. He'll be in the top 15 at regionals.

7. Plattsburg - From where I sit it appears that Heymann is the landlord for a house of cards. But, I do agree with MikeJones999 when he says Heymann could be an AA this year.

8. Rochester - I have them for seventh place by the end of the year.

9. RPI - We'll see if they can find a fourth and fifth to make a run at P state and U OF R.

10. Brockport - See above.

In regards to Who Am I:

I'm Andy Dunscombe! I'm coming off a foot injury and some respiratory issues so the season has been rough for me so far. Do us a favor, and if you're going to assert your expert high school opinion here at least leave a name instead of hiding behind an alias, and a lame one at that. Also if you're going to insult me and everyone else with your uninformed comments I'd like to know you're name so I can keep an eye out for you next year on the course ;)

You mention Brett Dolan first? Wow its really difficult to pick a kid who was in the top 40 in the nation at NCAAs as a sophmore and was one of the top runners in the SUNYAC last year.

Brockport will need to make a run at Fredonia before they can even think about beating U of R and P State. Also they'll need alot more than a 4th and 5th runner to beat any of those teams.

Looking at the Geneseo Results, I would assert that U of R will place ahead of Plattsburg at regionals assuming that they run same relative positions. U of R's top 5 were within a 10 sec spread, which was interlaced with Plattsburg 2-4. However Plattsburg's number 5 was 20 seconds off and 10 places back, which there will be enough runners at regionals to push Plattsburg's number 5 guy too far back. Good running by Geneseo on the weekend. Where was RIT?

Looking at the Geneseo Results, I would assert that you my friend are an idiot. First of all, Plattsburgh, is spelled with an H. Secondly, looking at these results and past ones, PlattsburgH did not run two of their top 7, which means that with their 8th man they still spanked U of R.
