Describe Your Running Today, Part II

17:00 after work. Things really slid this week, I plan on at least 40:00 tomorrow.

about 60' with a few pick-ups.

Racing 10K tomorrow, no predictions.

Family Rugby Romp, today. Missed track romp in hte morning. Such is the life of shift workers...

8 mile run easy pace.

6 hours on the bike

Last hour at 88%

went to bed with my right knee feeling oddly sore, it feels just as it would before you might do a few squats to get a 'click' out of it...maybe some cartilage moved around a bit. quite aggravating today, I have no clue how it happened other than I did a quick run yesterday in some new NB901's. they fit OK, but felt a bit odd while running in them. they are going back.

Friday (yesterday), no run.

Today, ran for 37:16. 11:38 easy warm up pace, 12:57 fairly solid run, 7:37 recovery jog/run, pick up 1:20, jog 2:14, cruised in for last 1:26. AHR 139, MHR 158.

Ran a local charity 5K today in 23:22. I'm somewhat happy with the result considering I haven't been doing any serious training.

Walked 3 miles in the early AM after walking the dog owing to my sore right knee. It was actually fun walking.

Uh-oh. I think I enjoyed it a bit too much as I thought "Geez this is really enjoyable and fun...better than running."

Guess my age is catching up with me.

Short easy recovery, cut even shorter due to stomach problems.....no porridge before running, even a few hours before wasn't enough.

reposting in case previous was zapped; hilly 10K, barefoot, 40:20, feel good but beer last night did not help liver. Biked home-race-home.

Ran on golf course for 5 easy miles, still sore 1 week post marathon. Simply gorgeous morning with frost on the ground and steam rising off the water - would have loved to run farther. Love this time of year, the golfers disappear and the course is mine.

Thanks for the encouragement! It's nice to know we can support each other in a positive fashion on here. That's really what makes this thread so great. Thanks to all of you for your many wonderful contributions.

I had a day off yesterday and followed that up with a long aerobic efficiency run today of 95'. There are no race plans in the immediate future. I did have one wiped out by my illness and injury a few weeks ago. Here's hoping I'll be ready to attempt some competition in the coming weeks.

4 miles easy around my girlfriend's neighborhood. It's beautiful days like this that make the grey New England winters almost worth it.

Well he did a 19plus 5k a while back and blamed someone for the breakdown because they said he was in 13:15 shape, based on multiple 800s in 2:05 to 1:59 with short recovery. RD kindof backed away from telling us times since then though, so don't hold your breath.

70 mins easy run (~16-16.5km)

gym session + stretching (~1hr)

... the simple beauty of it:no race plans, but keeps on running...Today: level one coaching session at the track. Should be fun. Good idea to back to school every so often. Just when you think you know quite a bit, you realize you know diddley....
