1:42.77 last place LOL
We’ve changed the thread title many times. At one point, it was called: Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships Day 8 Live Discussion Thread - US men bomb out of 4 x 400, Jamaica men bomb out of 4 x 100
1:42.77 last place LOL
Same podium as last year for 800m. 1500m no where close lmao.
AMAZING depth. What a RACE! McPhillips NR 1:42.14 for 4th! NR for Anderson!

Oh believe me Jan 6 traitors getting a pardon and then hired as SS is proof of that...except for the rehab part.
Rent free.
Has anyone in history consistently had that last gear to hold on in the final 50? It shocks me every time.
Why was Wanyonyi holding Arop's bronze in that photo op lol? Weird.

800 prediction
1 Wanyoni
2 Attaoui
3. McPhilipps
Not bad Ghost1!
Burgin is great, he just doesn't really have a change up. A bit of a time trialler.
Will struggle to win these top races but should consistently make top 6.

Everyone sub 1:43. What the depth
Imagine running 1:42.2 and getting 6th

Absolutely incredible.
Mc Phillips one to watch. The 1st 3 have all run 1:41 before.
Feels like a disappointing worlds for the Americans, but then we’re still double the next country’s medal count.

C'mon Max!
Awwww, so sorry, Covett. Varicose Burgin couldn't hang with the big boys. Maybe next time 😂
Max took at least a couple of knocks. He was about to try to go past Wanyonyi but had to check himself and come out wide then got a knock, then Attoui knocked him too. Great run from him after one season of full training after 7 years, can't argue with a PB.
I honestly think he and Laros could own the 800m and 1500m from next year until LA and beyond.
I had $10 on Sedjati. Not because I'm a fan. But because he was +1,100 and I knew he'd do exactly what he did. Close.
McPhillips is the breakout star of this meet
Those guys need to sign a multi-million dollar Mauten Bi-carb marketing deal.
Attaoui had pretty much the same move that got Hocker DQed up the inside
Just rewatched the race. McPhillips ran the entire second lap in lane 2 and 3, but was still dead last with 100 to go. Easier said that done, but if he had found a better line, he might have won.

the medals are so spread out now between the other countries. So many more stepping up and grabbing them in random events.

Who is Attoui?
