Hocker got bunched up and started his kick too late. Thankfully he was able to make up the ground to settle for 3rd but I think he got a little too comfortable majority of the race. He definitely had it in him but the odds just weren't in his favor
Either way this is going to be an interesting and stacked US team
Nuguse looked kind of sluggish for the whole race and Kessler’s form was kind of herky-jerky. I don’t think anyone saw Nuguse off the team but he and Kessler faded badly.
ballsy isn't always smart. but it's ballsy. his coach should have had a talk with him about strategy. even a lowly high school coach said yesterday that he should wait until between 600 and 800 to go. USA milers are out of this world right now.
