Good to see The Future come back strong to finish barely behind several older All-Americans after running two miles on Friday.
Speaking of triples, think Power regrets burying Hartney now? Or racing so many guys to PR’a in December?
Some questionable race strategies by distance coaches this weekend.
Turlington/Gabe running so hard so early in their respective races. Mo not being prepared for that to happen and then making the the lead up in one huge move and being in a tough spot nationally for the 3K m. Or the Cobber twins trying to lead every race and faltering rather than sitting mid pack and moving up.
The Oles had a fine meet. It’s fair for fans to expect domination after cross country, but they have never been as strong in XC and the rest of the conference is closing the gap. We all know the Johnnies don’t take Indoor seriously. Tommy Allen will probably win once he gets outdoor and Nick Bruer is back. This is the strongest the Gusties have looked in years too. Their new strategy of not tempoing every race seemed to pay off.
