Honestly, that’s why I think IWU will be a force soon. I don’t know anything about the new coach didn’t seem like Foss was someone that people would gravitate towards. I know that’s harsh and I don’t even know the man, but the institution has everything.
You clearly never spent time with Coach Foss. That man is amazing!
Also, I hope ONU proves everyone wrong. They are no where near a trophy team, but considering they are always at Nats, I would hardly say they are irrelevant in XC.
It’s not about whether he is a good man or not It seems like outside, they could perform better when it matters the most. On athletes and coaches I believe the new blood program will accomplish more.
I'm sorry you lost me in what you're trying to say. The conversation has been over the future of IWU and with resources and campus and not Cumberlands. I was impressed with the Iwu campus.

You were just saying you don’t think that Foss did a good job of coaching IWU to run well at nats
Does anyone think they performed well last fall? That's on everyone involved athletes and coaches. That's the world of sports not sure that's a debate.

IWU already recruits some of the best talent in the NAIA and are already a force. They’re a consistent top 10 team. Look at the high school times of the guys they had on roster last year and you’ll realize that they don’t have a problem bringing in great talent and probably underperform given what they’ve brought in in the last couple years. Last year they had 8 guys with a realistic shot of all-American and missed podium. I think their issue has been getting their guys to peak at the right time and perform when it matters, not recruiting.
Who runs the NAIA central IG account? Shyte quality in the photos and bashing teams for no reason. Its NAIA no ones gonna go pro he's gotta chill
He has already stated that he isn’t great when it comes to social media, and really who cares if the photos are low quality. This is definitely the best coverage the NAIA has ever received for XC and track, and it is way better ( and much more accurate) than The Stride report’s coverage of the NAIA which can’t even seem to match athletes to their respective schools.
I don’t really think anything’s been that bad. There’s a few posts with grainy pictures but who cares.
I don’t think he’s really straight up bashed any athletes, the worst thing I’ve seen him say is that some athletes are coming back from injuries or haven’t run well at nationals in the past.
The stuff in here is generally a lot worse. If he’s trying to accurately give out rankings and explain them I don’t think he can only be positive.
I don’t necessarily agree with all of his rankings but I’ve definitely learned a lot about the teams he’s posted so far
This is the first time I’ve known anything about the women’s side coming in
I think the guys above have covered everything pretty well, social media isn't my strength and everything has been a work in progress with this. I'm learning this stuff as I go along.
In terms of the pictures, a lot of these teams don't have a big social media presence or even many pictures of their current team on their website. This leaves me with pictures that are often low quality or ones that wouldn't fit into the edits for the posts for various reasons. Enlarging/cropping/changing the size of pictures also often messes with the quality of the pictures as well.
I also posted something on my story a little while ago asking for people to send pictures they wanted in the posts to me so I could use those (or anyone who had their own edit could send that in as well). So anyone who wanted a particular picture or really cared about the picture quality did have an opportunity to send one they wanted.
As far as the "bashing teams" goes, like others said, it's a part of rating teams. I'm trying to explain the pro's and con's of each team. I want to explain why the team ranked 10th looks a little bit better than the 11th ranked team, but not quite as good as the team in 9th. I don't think I've given any team a fully positive or fully negative description yet, and I don't intend to (not even fully positive with the teams that I have ranked 1st).
I hope everyone understands that if I ranked their team, or even gave them an honorable mention, I think that's a pretty solid team. I've said it a few times, but the NAIA is deeper and more competitive than ever.
If anyone has an issue with how I'm talking about a specific athlete or team, DM me or post here and let me know. I can understand if anything is perceived in a more negative way than I intend, and I'll change the post accordingly if asked.
Big showdown at the USF twilight this Friday between former roommates Mike Reif and Sam Mickelson. They had a falling out after Mike stole Sam's lover Cole Bennett so there is some bad blood between the two.
