Agreed. When I see all these complaints I think those people just want to keep track boring. Jakob is the best thing that has happened to distance running in my lifetime.
Haha I thought Jakob was in trouble at the bell and then he casually dropping a 50.63 in the last lap of a 3:35 semi while running wide from last to first and showboating and amping up the crowd. Simply on another level.
When Ingebrigtsen decided it was time to kick, it looked like he got on one of those moving walkways at the airport. He moved through the field so effortlessly. I think we're playing ourselves thinking someone else has a chance of winning this thing

RIP title contender potato tim. seems like a great guy. hope he can regain form, but history tells us that won't be the ending.
For people who love this event, this is quite sad. Tim has been a stalwart and a great champion. Seeing him not even make the final is disappointing.
On Jakob's showboating: what do people want? Yet another athlete who goes out there, hopes to do their best, and gives all thanks to God? No. He's the best and he's making sure everyone knows it, including his competitors. The way to stop that is for someone to be better. The field has their chance in the final.
I agree these three clearly looked strongest in the semi. For Yared, I wasn't entirely sure if he was tiring or easing up a little in the last 50. Either way, I can't imagine Jakob lets the race go slow and in a sub 3:30 race I probably taken Yared over Kerr by a hair. Jakob looked ridiculous.
