Good question. I know that Zoom Yah Yah entry is determined by lottery in August (free, take note NYCRR). I presume the waiting list is for runners who registered after that drawing. They typically get well over a hundred registrations from across the country.

Is anyone on the board from the Minneapolis/St Paul area or the region willing to drive to Northfield to "observe" the race should Kip Litton get admitted to run it?

His wife never rarely traveled with him, unless it was a family vacation, etc. She is a very honest woman and would not contribute to cheating.

I know one of Kip's children has a terrible illness, but do any of his other ones also have illness? I wish Kip the very best.

I think any speculation or discussion of his family or even him outside running are uncalled for and wrong.

This thread should simply be about the issues raised in the races he has taken part in. I have had the impression many times that people have knowingly attempted to derail this thread with personal attacks.

I would hope that kip gets an opportunity at Minnesota zoom yah yah. It sounds like its one of those races where you get someone to help time you and count laps on an indoor track. Someone said earlier on this thread that he was lOoking to have it videotaped but that might be made up shit(post was deleted I think).

We know one kid is sick - hope he ok But wheres this idea that he has more than one sick kid?

I don't think I meant that in a manner that was invasive to Kip's personal life. Rather I'm asking whether someone has directly confirmed this is correct or if this is hearsay.

Good points, but the thing is Kip has repeatedly posted personal info on this thread hoping to get it deleted (and in fact the tactic has succeeded in getting more incriminating posts removed on numerous occasions).

He's ramping up his efforts as his return to the track nears.

The gravely ill child ploy is more of the same, and yet another indication of the serious nature of his personality disorder.

Off to get my teeth cleaned-- by a dentist who has not, to the best of my knowledge, ever run a fictional marathon in Wyoming.

99% of the posts here are pure speculation. If you had actually talked with Dr Litton, his wife or any of the writers who have interviewed them, you would know this first hand. Continually repeating misinformation does not suddenly make it accurate. There are obvious explanations for accusations that individuals have been too blind to see in their rush to judgement. Part of this is because posts with key inside info keep getting deleted.

My writer friend has given me permission to address a few of the posts here. Dr Litton's wife dropped him at start lines, provided gear/nutrition along the course and picked him up at finish lines, with witness corroboration. No cheating possible. He is not on the wait list in Minnesota, he is in and running. He is having the race videotaped. Dick the RD there has welcomed Dr Litton and would appreciate it if you would stop contacting him and pestering him about Dr Litton. You know who you are. If he goes sub-2:50, it will increase the odds that my friend will have a story published.

Face it- a runner doesn't cheat to get a slower time than he is capable of.

Did Lisa Litton help out her kippy at west Wyoming too? What a nice race that one was.

How did Kip's shoes change colors at Providence?

How did Kip manage to avoid being photographed at the midway point of Delaware marathon by race director Wayne Kursh, who managed to get every other front runner along the course?

Where did race director Rich Rodriguez go? I'd like to register for the West Wyoming marathon too.

I imagine that if Kip is in the zoom yah yah (and this may be another "gotcha" bluff like his no show at Fort Worth), he may resort to disappearing in the restroom along side the track and come sprinting out once the clock reaches 2:55 or so to finish.

If kiP is running Minnesota, let us know.

Is friend in the know kip? I know a few people are in the process of contacting Dick to see kip is indeed racing at Zoom Yah Yah in Minnesota . Anyone have an update we can actually believe?

Kip really does have a gravely ill child, but he has cheated and been disqualified in numerous road races. There was also some speculation that kip has more than one sick child, but I think that part is BS. I wish dr Litton could cure his son's CF, but he's still been disqualified for cheating at a number of races throughout the united states, and no legit performance from here on out could make up for that. He's legendary in the running world, but he will never be as widely known as Rosie Ruiz because the times he cheated were not for elite positions (sub 3hrs). It is for this reason that he managed to operate under the radar for a good portion of 2009-2010. Cheating is probably pretty common in large marathons but what was amazing with this case is that we have RDs from both sides of the Mississippi river who've contacted each other to discuss his behavior at their races. Rosie had new York and Boston. Kip has 8 locations stretching from Idaho to Delaware (correct me if im mistaken)
