I've gotten into an discussion with you about this before, so I'll just say that we're dealing with a different writer. The writer we're working with is NOT a freelancer -> this writer has been a staff writer with this magazine (2009 circulation >1million) since the 70s or the 80s (cant remember exactly when) and is STILL a staff writer with this magazine. So this writer isnt having any difficulty getting a magazine to take up the story because the writer writes for it!

Yes, Kip's not really talking much (as far as we know). Yes, that's part of the reason for the hold up with the writer we're working with (and I imagine that's an obstacle for any other writers out there)...don't know when it will come out (because cant control what the writer does) but as I've said I'm predicting the article (with the guy we're working with at least) will be out by the conclusion of Boston 2012.

Spoken like someone who doesn't understand the publishing industry well.

And as I stated before to you, I'm not sure where you are getting your information, but your are misinformed on this. Absolutely a freelance writer and the article will not come out in the circulation>1 million magazine he has shopped it to unless Litton speaks out. If Litton does not speak on this, it is DOA.

There would be the faint possibility of Litton calling the police and having you cited for trespassing.

perhaps kip knows google results are locked on his running shenigans, perhaps that's why he created a twitter account with various links (tumblr, etc) to his professional bio. that way the google search is altered to more favorable results for his reputation.

What if I schedule the appointment, and before state I'd like to find out more about his practice by asking him some questions, then if he gets heated I stay calm and leave?

You could not be cited for trespass in his office unless he told you not to come on the property in advance or he has demanded you leave and you haven't.

There are two marathons on Atlanta - the spring one is the Georgia Marathon previously sponsored by ING and now Publix.

There's also the Atlanta Track Club's fall marathon - previously on Thanksgiving day, now the end of October.

The track club re-did its website and doesn't have the old results up at the moment- but I looked in Marathon Guide for the top men's finishers in 2009 - nothing that looks like any of Kip's known names or aliases.

I met Kurt Litton the other day. Very nice guy. Eventually, I asked him about his brother in passing to see what he had to say. He said he hasn't kept up with Kip's running in a long time and said Kip was sidelined with knee issues. I did not ask many questions and really just wanted to see what he would say. He did not mention anything about the issues brought up in this thread.

Kurt does not run so I doubt he could be a part of any of the 'brother' comments about having two Littons run in the same race.

Seemed like a really nice/genuine guy. I did not meet Kip (nor have I ever met Kip).

How do you know that he "does not run"?

I asked him. We talked about running for a long time. It was obvious that he did not run on a regular basis. And he also said he had to quit running several years ago due to injury.

I was with him face-to-face (several times). He doesn't run (train) enough to race at 7:00 pace.

Pre-arrange with the staff to rig the display on the treadmill next to him so that you run half a mile, get off for a minute then get back on with the panel showing 26 miles.
