2019 girls Foot Locker predictions and discussion!

Not to open this up again but I just wanted to add this last bit to the discussion. I have been told that the idea that a course can run fast and affect SRs is a myth. But then there was this:

Because Katelyn Tuohy smashed the Holmdel Park course record by an amazing amount, I'm starting this with a brief explanation of her speed rating of 177.0 ... Based on previous year's results at Holmdel, Katelyn Tuohy race time of 16:21 would have been a speed rating of approximately 180 ... BUT for what ever reason, Holmdel on this particular day ran exceptionally fast ... Not just for Katelyn Tuohy, but for the vast majority of runners ... Speed ratings compare runner-to-runners and not runners-to-courses ... time differences between runners are the key factor."

I thought my objection was simple enough, that given that three girls ran a sub-17 in the race it suggests that the course was very fast for the race and that given this and that SRs are supposed to be a runner to runner comparison, a 9 or 10 point jump in SRs from a year's worth of data collected from previous efforts for these athletes seemed unwarranted. I stand by that.

That said, I deeply appreciate the efforts. But if we all going to admit that this is a useful but imperfect tool, then some constructive criticism is OK and should not be viewed as an attack.
