About to cross mighty I-55. I like it when he deviates from his planned route.
On Google street view where he is now (1198 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL) looks like a terrible place to run: heavily trafficked street with no shoulder. It looks dangerous. Is he running in front of his crew as they creep down the road at 6mph with flashers on?

Both of which appear to be unnecessary. The first picture i saw, with Pete's biker tan and lack of BF, is enough. And his resume speaks for itself.
But if he stops for an impromptu soccer match, I'm going to be pissed.

Approaching 69 miles for the day, probably close to packing it in with another 70+ miles behind him. #rockstar
It's awesome he found a trail but now his support crew/vehicle has to work a bit to coordinate and rendezvous.
Anyway, the trail looks pretty cool.
I have to say that I'm pretty proud of myself. I suggested the OPT to Trasie about a week ago and they took it up. Sad that I can't get out there with him
That was an great option to tell them about. Much better the road edges and dirt roads. The trail offers him a really nice change of scenery. Kudos, sleeeper.

And past the urban/suburban mayhem of Chicago/Gary...55 miles in the bank so far today.
It boggles the mind. Just in awe of this run.
