That's a superorganism, dipwad. Just because they're all clones doesn't mean they're the same tree. A sequoia is way more badass than an aspen clone.
No offense but you are wrong as usual. The simple fact is that there is no 'they' to talk about. This is a single organism continually sprouting new shoots. It makes no more sense to deny that this is a single organism than it does to deny that a banyan tree is a single organism because hey, look at all those different trunks or, for that matter, that a sequoia is a single organism because, hey, look at all those individual needles, branches, etc.
Here is a second fact: Bad Wigins is remarkably intent upon advertising his own ignorance.
Bump. I want to learn more things.
1960 movie Psycho was the first American film to show a toilet being flushed onscreen when Janet Leigh’s character was shown disposing of a torn-up piece of paper in it.
The first mile of paved road was in Detroit. Made in 1906.
Certain species of the Whiptail lizard are represented only by females. They reproduce by parthenogenisis. Needless to say, they are among the hardest species to capture in the field.

Oh, you mean offense all right, that's why I called you dipwad in advance, knowing that behind a throwaway handle like "planty guy" must lurk a willowy panty-waste with shriveled genitals looking for a chance to inflict stupidity on humanity from safety, like a crow insolently pooping on the heads of passersby.
Interconnected clone trees are no more the same organism than conjoined human twins are. Calling a stand of aspen trees "one tree" is not only insulting to the English language, it's insulting to the trees. You are as a bark beetle to the plants you supposedly love, a squirming parasite bent on doing them harm.
I know pretty much everything. I am a bearded sage on a high hill, dispensing timeless wisdom to every horizon. You are a sightless bottom feeder in the sea of ignorance.
